question regarding mx servers with same priority
Dear ALL
I have the following setup running good for quite sometime and i wd really
apprecite if someone wd help or give some suggestions
centos 5.1
sendmail
dns server
now recently our mail usage has increased considerably and moreover Mails
have become a utmost top priority
i have 2 options now
1) have a backup server with lower higher MX
i tested this setup n had some queries earlier n

restrict postfix to only certain users getting incoming mail
Perhaps I am trying to do the impossible.
centos6, spamassassin, procmail, dovecot, postfix.
Postfix, by default, accepts all incoming mail to any user listed in the
shadow/passwd and alias files.
I cannot find a way to stop that without manually blocking each non
wanted user (like nobody, apache) without killing local delivery.
For most of the users listed in those files, who cares. However

Using LDA with postfix and virtual users

or local delivery using postfix.
On the postfix side everything works fine as long as I use the 'local'
delivery agent. But since I want to use dovecot's sieve functionality I
set local_transport to dovecot. From now on Postfix seems to ignore
local_* settings like local_recipient_maps.
Here is my current configuration:

Deliver - Virtual users
Hello...
I have dovecot 1.0.10 running with users in an LDAP database. Things are
working as they should with IMAP.
However, I can't seem to make deliver w. postfix work they way I want.
My problems are:
Mail to users who do not exist in LDAP or locally are accepted and
mailfolders are created. I want mail to users that do not exist in LDAP
or locally to be rejected.
