bootstrap: macro `AM_CXXFLAGS' not found in library
Folks,
I get this when I try to run 'bootstrap' to rebuild Xapian from scratch.
This is the current revision from the svn repository today (8400).
Any suggestions on what other package may be needed (both gcc and g++
are installed).

strange samba problem
Hi all
I justed noticed, a user is is not able to see all the folders on windows.
User is mapping to her unix home drive from pc via samba
If i move the file and change its name, i can see it on explorer on pc
but there is no one to one mapping
any help is appreciated

Doc Value Query in Omega
Folks,
Is it possible to query a document value (doc.set_value(i, val)) as part
of the Omega query. I know how to do it from code. Is there a query
markup to use for Omega?

Finding Max Possible Weight of a Document
Is there a way, without running a match, to find the max possible weight
of a document? This could be with or without consideration of the
length of the document. I have looked at all of the docs available on
the web and installed on the system and may just be overlooking it.
The most direct way would be to sum the term weights times term freq of
each document, but it would be nice if there

Samba Password Aging
Samba version 2.999+3.0cvs20020906-1 for Debian
Somehow the Samba password is aging and is requiring a reset once a
month for a couple of users. I can't see anything in the man pages to
indicate that the passwords age, so how is Samba doing it, and how do I
stop this behavior?
One user is on Windows 2000 and the other on Windows XP.
The Windows passwords are not aging and neither are

What's Happening
Found these messages in /var/log/dmesg on a Redhat 7.1 machine running
Samba 2.2.2 accessing a Win 2000 share. Actually, there are a bunch of
tasks accessing the same share, complete with file locking, etc.
Any docs on what that error code means?
