Provider with GA DIDs and LNP
Hi, I am looking for a provider that can provide DIDs in Atlanta, GA (national in future) and who can port an existing number. LiveVoip is a perfect fit but doesn't do LNP :-(. Currently I only need a handful of numbers ported, but will have more requirement in future. I'll need unlimited simultaneous incoming/outgoing calls (can pay for incoming as well). Any pointers are much appreciated. Thanks Sarat. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachm...

LNP Problems
What is the deal with "CSR's"? TWTelecom is telling me that I can't port a number to their service without a Customer Service Record. Apparently this is easy with Verizon, and not so easy with some other companies. Basically I'm at a brick wall with a couple of ports because TWTelecom is telling me I HAVE to get a CSR and certain other providers (Time Warner Cable for

Verizon-Vonage Lawsuit
May be slightly off topic, but I was wondering what everyone thinks of this latest ruling against Vonage? Does anyone really know what Verizon hold patents for, and could those patents possible affect anything in Asterisk? Who knows who Verizon will go after next. OT: List of VoIP providers?
I have been looking around for VoIP providers but have not found a good listing. Is there no "yellow pages" for VoIP providers? Google mostly returns services like Vonage, Packet8, NuFone, ect. None seam to be very reseller friendly and none offer LNP or local DID's for my area. Anyone know of a list (even a partial one) Jeromie Reeves

LNP / DID Service - Louisianna / Virginia
I need to convert quite a few numbers in play, as Remote Call Forward Numbers and this is a sample of NPA/NXX's that we'd like to convert to VOIP right away. We are using an NEC 2000 IPS switch to do the conversion and feed to our call centers, and I will want to add DIDs from these same NPA/NXXs later... 337-774 (LA) 540-371 (VA) 540-389 (VA) 540-562 (VA) 540-953 (VA) 703-276 (VA)

Urgent: How to obtain the Consistent Standard Errors after apply 2SLS through tsls() from sem or systemfit("2SLS") without this error message !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I obtain 2SLS through tsls from package sem or systemfit: #### tsls #### library (sem) Reg2SLS <-tsls(LnP~Sc+Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D,~I2+Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D) summary (Reg2SLS) #### systemfit #### library (systemfit) RS <- LnP~Sc+Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D Inst <- ~I2+Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D labels <-list("RS") system <-list(RS) Reg2SLS <- systemfit("2SLS", system, labels, Inst, saveMemory=TRU...

Problems with obtaining t-tests of regression coefficients applying consistent standard errors after run 2SLS estimation. Clearer !!!!!
First I have to say I am sorry because I have not been so clear in my previous e-mails. I will try to explain clearer what it is my problem. I have the following model: lnP=Sc+Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D In this model the variable Sc is endogenous and the rest are all objective exogenous variables. I verified that Sc is endogenous through a standard Hausman test. To determine this I defined before a new instrumental variable, I2. Also I detected through a Breusch Pagan Test a p...

Number portability
Voicepulse connect doesn't yet offer LNP (local number portability). They said in an email that they will have LNP in 1-3 months. Does anyone know of any voip companies that DO have LNP (for US area code 504)? Thanks, Simon in New Orleans

PR#8528
...es a continued fraction which essent= ially=20 evaluates more of the same series used when |x| < .01. Your comments about replacing logspace_add with logspace_sub with simpler= =20 code which works at first sight to be a very sensible improvement. However,= I=20 would be a bit nervous that lnd-lnp could be very large and the exp of it c= ould=20 return infinity. I'm sure this can be accounted for in the code and lnp += =20 log1p(f*exp(lnd-lnp))evaluated as lnp or log(f)+lnd accordingly. I am not responsible for the code for calculating the logs of probabilities= =20 but I seem to rememb...

pgamma - inadequate algorithm design and poor coding (PR#8528)
...the accuracy here? Hubris again appears in the comments. Here np and nd are on log scale and if they are large they will be almost equal (and negative), and f is not large (and if it were we could have computed log f). So we can compute the log of np+f*nd accurately as log(np*(1+f*nd/np)) = lnp + log(1+f*nd/np) = lnp + log1p(f*exp(lnd-lnp)) Almost all the mass of gamma(shape=1e100) is concentrated at the nearest representable value to 1e100: > qgamma(c(1e-16, 1-1e-16), 1e100)-1e100 [1] 0 0 (if it can be believed, but this can be verified independently). So being accurate in the...

Problems with obtaining t-tests of regression
...ttom of page 91. b) it could be safer to explicitly compute HC SEs by formula 5.34 in Wooldridge, based on the 2sls residuals you got from systemfit(). c??) Maybe there's a shorter way: I suspect that the following could work: - regress Sc on the rest, get Sc_hat - estimate step2model<-lm(lnP~Ag+Ag2+Var+R+D+Sc_hat) and now I think coeftest(step2model,vcov=vcovHC) should compute exactly formula (5.34) in Wooldridge, but *please check this out*, as it is only an intuition!! Icecast2 Beta 1 hijacks CPU

I just turned on my speakers and once again nothing. Running top showed icecast and it's threads but *no* CPU usage though. Running netstat -lnp showed port 8000 as listening port but no process name next to it. Meanwhile, the Oddcast plugin was in a "Connected" "Disconnected" loop. Usually when icecast isn't running at all Oddcast just reports "Unable to connect to socket". I had to killall -9 icecast....
