Re: RedHat5.1 security flaws.
...ntion, yes? OK. I''ve got a _lot_ of positive response about starting some form of co-ordinated effort to audit core linux components/daemons/suid binaries etc. To this effect, there''s a mailing list for discussion of linux security auditing and hardening; security-audit@ferret.lmh.ox.ac.uk Subscribe address is security-audit-subscribe@ferret.lmh.ox.ac.uk NOTE! This is not "yet another security list people should feel obliged to subscribe to" list. All findings will of course still go to bugtraq/linux-security. Alongside this mailing list will need to go a web...

Programming ....
Hi, I am building my own TCP daemon for easing some routine admin stuff... I am no expert on security,. I would really appreciate it if someone sent me some pointers to writing TCP daemons that are hacker-proof( i know there is nothing like that...but I do not want to be making mistakes in coding that are well known.. ;) The daemon runs as root....so that is why I am woried.... Thx, Arni

So far I have opened the file and read the contents, however I' m using readLines(filename) to read the file and it returns it as

I have a simple 1 way anova coded like summary(ANOVA1way <- aov(Value ~ WellID, data = welldata)) How can I use the BY function to do this ANOVA for each group using another variable in the dataset?? I tried coding it like this, but it doesn't seem to work. summary(ANOVA1way <- by(welldata, Analyte, function(x) aov(Value ~ WellID, data = welldata))) In SAS I would code it like this:

Change the legend order by order function
There are two key concepts you seem to be unaware of regarding ggplot: 1) you really need to put your data in long format to work with multiple curves, and 2) the column containing the names of the curves should be a factor with levels in the order you wish them to be presented in the legend (bottom to top). I am not in a position at the moment to give you a full reprex, but Google can probably

Change the legend order by order function
Hi, I'd like to graph three lines on ggplot2 and I intend the lines to be "solid", "dashed", and "dotted". The legend names are "name_b", "name_c", "name_a". I'd like to legend to present in the order: the "name_b" at the top, and "name_a" at the bottom. Could it be done by order function or its inverse?
