Round a line
R-help,
I have lloked in the archives found no answer to how to round the line
joint.
I have usedthe arguments lnd, ljoin in par but I get no differences in
the plotting.
x=1:10
par(ljoin="round",lend="round")
plot(x,sin(x),type="l",lwd=2)
Any suggestions?

samba 3.0 with ldap / sambaSID
Hello,
I'm lloking for a way to convert my company's existing samba2.2 ldap
backed service to samba 3.0. What's particulary making me curious is the
sambaSID. As I've read it is the unique identifier of a PDC in the
windows world. So, how does samba3 generate this? Is it supposed to be

eaton evolution not shutting down
Hi all,
I just changed my old MGE ellipse for a evolution 850 (now eaton). I can
connect using mge-shut (newmge-shut doesn't work). But I have a few
issues. I lloked around on NUT web-site and googled with no luck.
Using debian lenny on 2.6.18 kernel (due to some ISDN driver that
doesn't work with earlier kernels)
1) the most annoying is that I cannot shutdown the UPS. here is a trace :

Sample covariance matrix in R
Hello everyone.
I would like to find the sample covariance matrix using R.
So far I read on the wikipedia what a sample_covariance is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sample_covariance
according to wikipedia one vector is enough to calculate the sample covariance matrix.
In R I tried cov(myvector) and I get the reply that I need to pass either two argument or one matrix with x,y values .
How can I
