I read something on NFSv4 in Linux that has the "fsid" option of mount that allows you to set the device name instead of the major/minor number. Does Solaris 10 have anything like this? ...ZFS record size to 8KB the KB written per second averaged 110KB. My questions by be too general to answer here but I thought I would try. Why does ZFS write more traffic to disk then VxFS?
