...on't > see this part anyway. I thought that you had said that they source-server protocol had changed in respect to YP. The problem that I stated was that Icecast2 is not announcing certain streams to the YP servers. Some examples of streams that are not getting announced include: http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-hifi.ogg http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-hifi.mp3 http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-lofi.mp3 http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-lofi.mp3 While other streams using the same server work just fine: http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.mp3 h...

shoutcast to icecast2 issues
relaying a shoutcast stream via icecast2 is pretty much unlistenable -- it constantly stutters. for example, shoutcast relay -- http://205.188.234.1:8030/listen.pls icecast2 relay -- http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.mp3.m3u --mark --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the bo...

...ease update > your code otherwise you will have troubles updating to more than one > directory reliably. That isnt the only bug. One one of our icecast servers the third stream, sf-lofi.mp3, is not being announced to YP servers at all. On my local diagnostics (logs all connections to the liveradio.indymedia.org YP server) I see that icecast isnt even trying to add it. The other YP servers are not showing this stream either. It doesnt appear to have anything different between it and the other two streams. <p> -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed....

Icecast's YP bugs
Ok I've been discovering many bugs in Icecast's YP implementation.. The most serious of which is, if a YP server is rejecting a stream the server has a memory leak which, as it continues to re-try to publish it's rejected streams, grows until the server segfaults. On our server, for instance, we're relaying shoutcast streams (which does not relay the stream name and other

It's a question of getting the compiler environment setup to do the port. Much of libshout and ices2 are ready but, certain things like live input are different from whats in windows. karl.
