tuning software echo cancellation
...system live.
We are totally out of touch on the subject of software echo cancellation in
asterisk. The system is running 1.4.28 and Dahdi 2.2.1-RC2. I understand that
when Dahdi detects no HWEC, it enables SWEC by default. Is there anything I can
do to tweak the settings to try and make this liveable for the client until we
get the card? The server is in the Caribbean, so it may actually be a bit
before the card arrives. We would love to get them running before then, but it
is so bad right now that we cannot.
Thanks for any links to info...
Cheers,

Stopping services
I''m back to getting stuff to run as a Windows service, and am running
in to a problem. My service (a Daemon ruby class) installs and starts
fine, but when I try to stop it, I get:
C:\workspaces\default\tahoe>ruby script\service stop
script/service:77:in `stop'': An exception occurred in the service
when handling
the control request. (Win32::ServiceError)

CentOS 8 network-scripts
...d 'automatic' compared to
some 1912 vehicles.. even if you had a clutch because you no longer
had to get out and turn something to make it go in reverse. The
'truly' automatic transmissions of the 1950's were horrible and it
wasn't until the 1970's where they became 'liveable'. Today trying to
find a real stick shift is almost impossible as you find out that the
most are really talking to a computer which does the shifting when it
decides is optimal.
As that happens the place where a programmer makes changes goes higher
and higher. They no longer see a system by it...

[PATCH] fs: Add new pre-allocation ioctls to vfs for compatibility with legacy xfs ioctls
Al, Could this be included in the vfs queue?
This patch adds ioctls to vfs for compatibility with legacy XFS
pre-allocation ioctls (XFS_IOC_*RESVP*). The implementation
effectively invokes sys_fallocate for the new ioctls.
Also handles the compat_ioctl case.
Note: These legacy ioctls are also implemented by OCFS2.
