ODBC Voicemail WEB Retrieval
Ok. I was sucessful in installing ODBC storage I'm using MySQL in the backend as it is. but all my drivers are now ODBC. I am running asterisk-cvs head as of last night 9/19/05 My question is this... the old voicemail.cgi script that allowed checking voicemail no longer works etc, and never did work for me without a static voicemail.conf file. Anyways.. that aside... how does one retrieve

ARI - Voicemail not showing - Problem solved!
Hi, Just wanted to pass on a fix that I found with the ARI recordings interface (www.littlejohnconsulting.com) for using a browser to access voice mail. It turned out to be a rights issue and group membership issue. I was planning on moving Asterisk to a non-root (http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-pagehistory.php?page=Asterisk+non-root&diff2=25) user but I had not done this prior to installing ARI....

ODBC Storage for voicemail messages in database
Seems like other postings tend to think that saving recordings as files and not as blobs in the database are a more reliable way to go. Opinions on this? Looking at supporting it for ARI and judging interest. Dan 512.791.0137 www.littlejohnconsulting.com

CRM software
Can anyone recommend CRM software with a link into Asterisk? I would like a pop up on caller ID if possible. I've played with the FOP and SugarCRM but can't get them working together. Dell 1950
I am thinking of going with a Dell PowerEdge 1950 ||| for a new CentOS/Asterisk set up. It will have dual 2.33GHz processors, 16GB memory, two 500GB hard drives (presumably mirrored). I also plan to get a Digium TE220B to go with it. (a non-dell server is not an option, but I am wondering if there is a better one to consider) The system will be a voice mail repository for 4-6,000 students.

TE411P Really Bad Echo
I just implemented a system using a TE411P hardware echo cancellation card. Per Digium, I setup zaptel.conf, and zapata.conf the same way as I always have. To my surprise calls out to the PSTN had a terrible echo. 1 - 2 second delay, and quite clear. The echo was so bad that I had to remove the hardware echo cancellation module from the card. We are only using the 1st span of this card right
