PHP + parsing # of listeners.
...earlier, but I cannot find the thread/information in the archives, so I am going to ask away and ask for your patience. :) So I have my wonderful little PHP script, and my .pls files, and the relaying and everything else perfect for my icecast2 setup. But what I still need to do is pull the # of listners for a mount point, and put it up on my main page to show other listeners the number of listeners. Now I seem to remember someone haveing some php scripts that did this sort of thing, and I can't find those. I relieve my best bet is to use some regular expression magic and find /mountpointnam...

Does that mean the the auth process is not the process which performs the actual passdb/userdb lookup ? In that case what is the 'userdb process' ? Same question : what is the auth-client soc...

A question on clients.
...when I switch over. But ogg streams don't seem to be universally supported. Winamp3 has broken ogg stream client properties, I have seen the archives and also the winamp forum archives on this subject, so I suppose winamp3 support will "One day be fixed" and I'll have to convice listners to use WinAmp2.8. Also, windows media player 9 doesn't seem to want to be a client for ogg streams as well. When I use my handy little tethereal, I see the acks of a healthy TCP connection and I see the bandwidth on the network consumed, so I know icecast2 is streaming, so are these two play...

I think Icecast is set up by default for http://server:8000/ to redirect to http://server:8000/status.xsl which, if you've set things up properly, should show you status information. If you got the status info but couldn't see any streams connected, then see above....

Kicking duplicate connections
With NAT, also with carrier grade NAT becoming more poplular with ISP's yet to move to IPv6, if you have a very popular stream you could end up kicking valid listners behind the same IP. Can a domU app determine its own domain ID
Can an app running on a domU determine the domU''s domain ID? I''m thinking of a scenario where an app might want to auto-generate a unique IP address keyed off its domain ID.
