maximum file descriptor limit - icecast freeze
...written to the log is
[2013-02-13 15:59:06] WARN connection/accept_client accept() failed
with error 24: Too many open files
After some hours I found out about this issue and had to kill icecast.
The stop command didn't work. This is the only time this happened.
If it were about the number of listerners they would have showed up in
the log... So...could have been an attack? The others system logs were
clean.
I'm running ubuntu 10.04 lts and icecast 2.3.3 kh5 branch - build 30-gfe06a77

Disconnect listerens after X min
Hello,
I'm using icecast2. I have one client who provides a source from his
windows computer using winamp. This source is a 'radio station'
I want to disconnect listerners after they have listen to the station
for e.g. 60 minutes but can't find any documentation on this. Is this
possible with icecast2?
If i missed some documentation: sorry but I just can't find the answer
on the net.
thanks for any help.
Regards,
Jappe

hi,
is there a way, to create a stastic about listernes, mountpoints and
music tiltes?
I saw some cacti scripts, but i have no webserver installed on the
streamserver, so i would use only plain files, also a database could be
improving some things. So, how can i do this?

What I want to know is just how he can accurately determine people are
doctoring listener counts.
In point of fact, I have a few reflectors on a couple of non-routable
networks, and none of those servers forward listerner count
information to the directory servers. There is also no simple way to
get an accurate listener count if I finally get around to reflecting
my show on the multicast backbone.
I am fairly sure there is no support for listener count forwarding in
icecast (1.3.X) as I've looked at that code...

Sounds like that KH-build is leaking file descriptors under certain
circumstances.

wine monopolizes the sound
Hello,
I have a sound problem with wine: when it is running, the sound works fine, but no other application can play any sound. If I have sound playing elsewhere and then launch wine, then wine do not play any sound.
I am using pulseaudio, debian sid 64 bits and I can play several sounds at the same time.
This problem happen even if pulseaudio is disabled, and with every wine version I tried

listeners and requests
Running rails, lighttpd and scgi.
If I use only one listener is it right that the server will only be able
to serve one request at a time? I have one action that takes a long time
to complete (makes a system call to a java app), when this action is
being called the whole server seems to be locked, however, all other
requests (from other clients) that come in during this period are being

the a song half way through just before the news at the top of the
