subscripts in lists
I am tying myself in knots over subscripts when applied to lists I have a list along the lines of: lis<-list(c("a","b","next","want1","c"),c("d", "next", "want2", "a")) >From which I want to extract the values following "next" in each member of the lis...

summary statistics for lists of matrices or dataframes
Is there a simple way to calculate summary statistics for all the matrices or dataframes in a list? For example: > z <- list(matrix(c(2,2,2,2), ncol = 2), matrix(c(4,4,4,4), ncol = 2)) > z [[1]] [,1] [,2] [1,] 2 2 [2,] 2 2 [[2]] [,1] [,2] [1,] 4 4 [2,] 4 4 > I would like to calculate, for example, the mean value for each cell. I can do that the h...

trivial list question
Dear experts, For the makeGenotype function I need a list as in the example. However, since my list needs to be 184 long there must be an easy way to make it. >list(1:2,3:4,5:6,7:8) [[1]] [1] 1 2 [[2]] [1] 3 4 [[3]] [1] 5 6 [[4]] [1] 7 8 I have tried lis<-1:184 dim(lis)=c(92,2,1) as.list(lis) and several other options. Any suggestions?...

lapply and list attributes
Hi I have a list that has attributes: attributes(lis[2]) $names [1] "150096_at" I want to use those attributes in a function and then use lapply to apply that function to every element of the list, eg for simplicity's sake: my.fun <- function(x) { attributes(x) } Then l2 <- lapply(...

subset function within a function
Hi, I am using this subset statement and it works outside a function. LIS[[i]]<- lapply(LI, subset, select=cov[[i]]) However, wrapped inside a function this statement produces the same values for every LIS[[1]] which is only the first subset of LI. Does anyone know why is not working correctly inside a function? ff = factor(covariate) nLev <- nlevels(ff) cov <...

Liveness Analysis
...removed completely, and LiveIntervals can be directly // computed. (We still either need to regenerate kill flags after regalloc, or // preferably fix the scavenger to not depend on them). When looking in TwoAddressInstructionPass.cpp it looks like the pass only use/update LV when there is no LIS. And there seems to be an experimental -early-live-intervals option to calculcate LIS before TwoAddressInstructionPass. I also noticed that the -early-live-intervals option was added back in 2012. So I assume that the plans to replace LiveVariables by LiveIntervals in TwoAddressInstructionPass got...

printing name of object inside lapply
Dear list members, I am trying, within a lapply command, to print the name of the objects in list or data frame. This is so that I can use odfWeave to print out a report with a section for each object, including the object names. I tried e.g. a=b=c=1:5 lis=data.frame(a,b,c) lapply( lis, function (z) { ob...

[LLVMdev] Asserts in bundleWithPred() and bundleWithSucc()
...s, compared to recomputing liveness in batch after multiple changes. Consider hoisting chained instructions out of a loop one at a time. The live ranges of the intermediate steps look completely different from the final result. So for a future automatic liveness API, I imagine something like: LIS.beginChanges(); .. Move multiple instructions around. .. LIS.endChanges(); [Or it could use RAII, that's not important] MachineFunction would provide observer hooks that LIS can use to collect a set of changed instructions. The call to LIS.endChanges() would then recompute the invalid...

Voice Activation Level (speex 1.1.11.1)
I havent had found anything in the documentation about voice activation levels. Does i can change a variable to change the accuracy for activations? If not does the speex lib already implement a function for read out the sound level of a frame? Thanks for the advance. I've been generating functions using a builder and then compiling them with ExecutionEngine::getPointerToFunction(). Is there some way I can get compilable IR from that?
