rank function and NA in 2.3.1
Hi. I am using R 2.3.1 on WIndows XP, and I am having trouble with the rank function in the presence of numerical NA data. I want the NA's all to get the same rank, but they don't. Here is an example from my session: >ct_align_rets_f2$liq[6851:6859] [1] 115396 NA 362595 NA 242986 340805 NA 692905 251533 >rankl=rank(ct_align_rets_f2$liq,na.last=FALSE,ties.method="min") >rankl[6851:6859] [1] 4392 2424 5535 2425 5037 5451 2426 6625 5082 What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to check whether there's a...

Fractional logit in GLM?
Hi, Does anyone know of a function in R that can handle a fractional variable as the dependent variable? The catch is that the function has to be inclusive of 0 and 1, which betareg() does not. It seems like GLM might be able to handle the fractional logit model, but I can't figure it out. How do you format GLM to do so? Best, Rachael [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

multiple mounts each varying bitrates
I just realised my previous email didn't go to the list for some reason. Here it is again: Currently, I have three liquadsoap ".liq" files, and they all look very similar to this: -------- 8< -------- jake at beastie:/etc/liquidsoap$ cat jake.liq #!/usr/bin/liquidsoap #set("log.file.path","/tmp/basic-radio.log") def my_request_function() = # Get the first line of my external...

There may well be some sense in the future in separating the playout from the scheduling in PRS, but right now they're intertwined. > In particular our baby (liquidsoap) does crossfading, dynamic compression > and (much) more. I took a brief look at it when considering whether to move to something else rather than stick with what we have. But it appeared to me that you need to learn some kind of programming language type thing in order to tell it w...

Listenurl is not in HTTPS
I have successfully installed IceCast with SSL support : https://relay2.dgnet.be/ Stream is working fine with this URL : https://relay2.dgnet.be:443/different.ogg Nevertheless the listen URL still points to http://relay2.dgnet.be:443/different.ogg ( without https then ) So the links provided/generated by IceCast are wrong . What did I miss ? Is it possible to force the listenurl value in the

It is a "programming language for audio," so you are able to program what happens with your stream completely trough the command line. For a novice, something similar to the open-source Airtime ( http://www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime/feature...

Education - 1, 000s, 100, 000's, Millions of listeners. (What kind of infrastructure)
Hi Wayne Yep, HLS is something we would like to use with Icecast. As you mentioned, Liquidsoap made a great step in the right direction if it comes to HLS. It seem that icecast might not get this support soon, as you might read in the discussion list. I don?t share these arguments, because we have real world use cases (we have many of them) where we would like use icecast with HLS su...
