pxelinux.cfg/default config issues
...configuration file for my PXE Linux 2.03 installation from which I intend to boot diskless workstations. I've tried a huge number of differences for passing the init argument but none seem to work. Current config file should look something like this: ******** default std label std kernel linuz append root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=1.1.1.1:/mnt/lfs init=/static/bin/bash ******** It appears to load the nfs share fine but then complains about not being able to fine bash. I changed the file to add a prompt so I could enter the line by hand. entered "std root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=1.1.1.1:/m...

Several AD domain servers
Hi, It is possible to assing several AD domain servers on krb5.conf file? The questions is if one of AD servers goes down, it is useful if samba can get authentication through other AD server on domain. Sorry if this question already answered previsously. Domain Server: MS Windows 2003 SP2 Linux Box: SLES 10 SP1 (kernel 2.6.16) Samba version: 3.0.24-2.28 Kerberos version: 1.4.3-19.25 Best

Rendering farm?
I received at least one email suggesting a Windows-based rendering farm - likely to consist of a few rack systems all running 64-bit Windows. I read an article on Tomshardware which gave some decent insight. What can list participants offer on this concept? I don't care _how_ the resource is implemented - virtual machine, cluster, etc. I just want to get the most resources for the money,

Server disappears from Network Neighborhood
>From time to time someone will comment in this list that their Samba server has disappeared from the list of hosts in Network Neighborhood. Browsing the list archive has yet to turn up any good explanation of this phenomenon. I think I have a clue. This morning my server disappeared again. When I checked the process list on the server I noticed that nmbd had been swapped out to disk. The

Gracias, Daniel!. Saluditos! Eva ________________________________ De: daniel
