getent group not working
Hi
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS client with 3.6.3 joined to the Samba4 AD domain.
smb.conf
winbind enum users = Yes
winbind enum groups = Yes
idmap config *:backend=tdb
idmap config *:range=10000-19999
idmap config ALTEA:backend=ad
idmap config ALTEA:range=20000-40000000
getent passwd and wbinfo -u returns all AD users correctly
wbinfo -g returns all AD groups correctly
getent group fails. Only local groups

...on (namely uid/gid) do not. This has been setup such that the users connect to samba as the windows username (ex. PRODUCTION+user1) for an authroized group (PRODUCTION+group1), but the files and permissions on the linux samba server are created and managed with the appropriate uid/gids.
Example:
linuxuser=PRODUCTION+windowsuser
G-234=PRODUCTION+directorygroup
I do not believe we are using sssd, but are using winbind. Its quite possible we don't have this setup optimally, but this setup does work as needed, outside of these occasional crash/unresponsive states.
Thanks!

NSS and group enumeration in CUPS...
...After a join with winbind you have the host/UPN.
I must say that the CUPS setup is working great.
Only 1 or 2 problems in almost 2 years.
@Marco,

Yes, i did add my AD admin user to a local group but only once.
And its only for the lpadmin group.
Everthing else can be done through windows groups.
And yes, you can replace the lpadmin group for a windows group but thats more work imo.

Starcraft 2 slow on GTX 460?
CPU: AMD 9850 Black (no OC)
RAM: 4GB DDR2 (800)
GPU: MSI GTX 460 Hawk (Factory OC)
With everything maxed out I'm getting 10-11 FPS while on Windows XP I'm getting 30-35+. Is there a way to speed up SCII?
Note: I have GLSL disabled.

SerNet - Samba 4.3 and ssh password logins
Hi everyone,
I have a SerNet-Samba 4.3.6-10 AD which works fine.
Now I try to implement a fileserver. It is a server with a lot of
(old)-users, which have an Unix-Account. On this server are also users
who should can login from the Internet over ssh.
But now I'm running in trouble with the security of my fileserver.
When I would install samba 4.3.6 on it and activate sernet-samba-client
