tinc fails because of firewall script
...to ACCEPT, whilst leaving the "input" and "output" chains to DENY, this did not work so I believe that the problem probably exists with the input or output chains settings. Bootable CD Images
...to do is boot a bootable image that is not a floppy image. For example, DemoLinux is a 650MB iso file and when burned to a cd it boots. What I would like to do is be able to boot the iso image after picking it from a menu. Perhaps that isn't the best example, lets say you have two distros LinuxA and LinuxB and they are both 200MB so they can both fit on one cd. You can't expand the iso's because the common directories such as /etc would collide and then only one of the distros would work. So you would like to keep them nicely bundled in their manufactures iso file until you pic...

Strange problem with Dial
I'm trying to add an emergency dial to my context. However, when I try to dial it, I get caught in an endless loop. Or at least I think that is the problem. I have two linux boxes running slackware 7.1 and samba 2.0.7. One of the computers (linuxA) is on XXX.XXX.95.XXX and the other (linuxB) is on XXX.XXX.96.XXX. I have a Win2000 Professional box on the 95 subnet that can see the linuxA box and I can connect to it with no problems. However I cannot see linuxB whether I type net use j: \\linuxB\david or net use j:\\XXX.XXX.96.XXX...
