"missing" directories
Running Samba 3.0.14a under kernal 2.6.11-1.1369 (Fedora core 4)
I'm trying to set up a file server for use with XP network. I have an
interesting problem that came to light when I had difficulty connecting from
Windows.
I can set up a shared directory exactly as detailed in the troubleshooting
guide (setting up /tmp as tmp) and can connect from my account on the

PXE boot question
...CONFIG_ROOT_NFS is set to y on the client.
I did copy the installation from the client hard disk to /tftpboot on the
master. Copied vmlinuz, I used a kernel with no modules (to make things

> kernel vmlinuz
> append root=initrd
but it seems to ignore the two directives "kernel" and "append" as it
says that no file named "linux" was found and prompts "boot:".
If I keyboard-input "vmlinuz" the loading goes on, i...

Can't see files/directories with Last Changed Attribute set
Following on from my missing directories post the other day, I have
narrowed the problem down to the following cases.
It seems that I can see files or directories where the Last Changed
Attribute of a file or directory is "Unknown". Where it is set to a
valid date, the file simply doesn't appear. It doesn't matter is I'm
connecting from Linux or Windows.
Any thoughts
