BUG - ssh issue and variation - Plus implementation problem for linux

and my responses to it. It is reasonably easy to
get around the problem on Cygwin, and the windows
version with putty doesn't appear to be a
problem...but how is one supposed to deal with it
in the linux. Perhaps a need to alter the sanity
checks for the scp inpur args?...

WINE, PERVASIVE and ODBC
I have a proprietary piece of software written for a windows machine. When
I run the ODBC interface so that I can set a DSN the connection works.
However, when I run the program it cannot find the files and gives me an
error stating that.
Does anyone have experience with Pervasive DB's? Or maybe with getting
programs like this one running under WINE?

WinXP sometimes is slow opening files / browsing directories

The server is Red Hat Linux 9, running samba samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0.

oplock problems
We are running samba 2.2.3a ( for about 3000 users ) on HP/UX 11.11
fileservers.
Our customers are complaining about slow response on the opening/closing
of files in office/excel etc.
In the samba log file we see the following messages :
