Questions about gluster reblance
...at lab1 Desktop]# getfattr -dm. -e hex /brick1/sbin getfattr: Removing leading '/' from absolute path names # file: brick1/sbin trusted.gfid=0x35976c2034d24dc2b0639fde18de007d trusted.glusterfs.dht=0x0000000100000000000000007ffffffe ? The question is: AFAIK, fix-layout would create "linkto" files (files with "linkto" xattr and with sticky bit set only) for those ones whose hash values belong to the new subvol. so there should have been some "linkto" files under lab1:/brick2, but no one now, why? 2) fix-layout + data_migrate (e.g. gluster volume rebalance g1...

Sharding problem - multiple shard copies with mismatching gfids
...do any dentry operations like rename, link, unlink on the path of file (not the gfid handle based path) internally while managing shards. Can you confirm? If it does these operations, what fops does it do? @Ian, I can suggest following way to fix the problem: * Since one of files listed is a DHT linkto file, I am assuming there is only one shard of the file. If not, please list out gfids of other shards and don't proceed with healing procedure. * If gfids of all shards happen to be same and only linkto has a different gfid, please proceed to step 3. Otherwise abort the healing procedure. * If...

adding class or id tags to tags like linkto and form
I''m trying to figure out things like this by myself so I don''t bother my developer and slow him down. How do I add class or id css attributes to tags like this: <%= form_remote_tag :url => { :action => "send_url" } %> <%= link_to_remote "My Profile URL", :url => { :action => "send_profile_url", :id => @user.id } %>

Why files goes to hot tier and cold tier at same time
Hi, The actual data will be in the hot tier only till demotion. The file that you see on the cold tier is just a linkto file of the file on the hot tier. These linkto file are necessary for the internal working of the tier. Why files goes to hot tier and cold tier at same time
Hi Guys Got a quick question regarding hot tier and cold tier. I got a gluster volume with 1 x 3 hot tier and 1 x 3 cold tier. watermark-low is 75 and watermark-hi is 90. usage of volume is very less. My files always go to hot tier and cold tier at same time As I understand, data should go to hot tier only until demoted. Could someone please shed some light into this? Thanks in advance. --

To summarize the issue, you see empty linkto files on the mount point. From the logs I see that parallel readdir is enabled for this volume: performance.readdir-ahead: on performance.parallel-readdir: on There was a similar issue reported earlier [1] and fixed as part of [2]. Which version of gluster are you running? Poornima and Raghaven...

GAM-binomial logit link
Dear all, I'm using a binomial distribution with a logit link function to fit a GAM model. I have 2 questions about it. First i am not sure if i've chosen the most adequate distribution. I don't have presence/absence data (0/1) but I do have a rate which values vary between 0 and 1. This means the response variable is continuous even if within a limited interval. Should i use

strange link files
...is hashed to a different brick. However, these link files are only visible to the glusterfsd, not to the users. I also noted that now the "link files" have an additional attibute (glusterfs.mdata) and previously link files stored the "real" brick name in "glusterfs.dht.linkto". Therefore, I have a two of questions: 1) Is this a bug, or is it intentionally that glusterfs 10 clients don't work with glusterfs 9 servers? 2) If it's not a bug, how does the attribute "glusterfs.mdata" store the "real" brick name? best wishes, Stefan
