looking for help / input with Blind transfer from asterisk to zap
...e blind transfers working from the following setup.
Inbound call [from-zap] (SIP/sv0071iv) answers.
Zaptel -> Asterisk -> SIP extension
SIP extension then blind transfers [from-sip]

SIP extension -> Asterisk -> Zaptel
During this whole process, the original channel off the trunk
(lineside T1) is used for the blind transfer (hookflash)

Two questions for Asterisk setup (Definity G3R and NFAS Trunk Gro ups)
Hi,
I'm a lab manager / supervisor at our labs. We've had Asterisk in
use for over a year directly hooked to the PSTN - a no brainer for
configuration (although I had to fix some AT&T specific things in libpri).
Right now I have two big challenges. One is to hook our box up lineside to
a Lucent Definity G3R. Avaya is chasing this from their end, but we had the
highest level of tech support trying to work this. Does anyone here have a
known good configuration (including firmware release/etc of the T1 cards)
for a PRI configuration? I get layer two up, and a d-channel establi...

T1 versus PRI
Hello All,
I was wondering. What are the primary advantages to using a PRI over a
T1? As I understand it, the PRI terminates very fast, meaning you can
do immediate answer and dial... This is very handy on the BRI line I
have on the asterisk.
Can T1 signalling also do immediate answer, or does it just behave like
a channelized pots line and ring as usual?

Interface with NEC NEAX 2400
Is there anyone out there who has tried to connect up an asterisk box to make and take calls through a NEC NEAX 2400 using Q.sig or anything like it? Can anyone tell me if it is possible?
