Typo in systemd commit HG 8dc79a437858
The apostrophes need to be removed from the LimitCORE example, otherwise the parameter will not be recognized: $ cat /etc/systemd/system/dovecot.service.d/service.conf [Service] #Environment='OPTIONS=-p' #LimitCORE=8192 LimitCORE=infinity -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... ...blems. Thanks for fixing this. As this repo stuff is mostly bleeding edge, I noticed that the systemd service file needs to be modified to allow coredumps. Not sure how it is supposed to interact with the file /etc/default/dovecot and its ALLOW_COREDUMPS=1 variable, but one needs to explicitly add LimitCORE=infinity in the 'Service' section (until someone with more systemd foo fixes it): $ cat /lib/systemd/system/dovecot.service [Unit] Description=Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server After=local-fs.target network.target [Service] Type=simple LimitCORE=infinity ExecStart=/usr/sbin/dovecot -F NonBl...

Just backported 4.4.5 from debian sid to jessie. samba.service is masked there. If running as an fileserver the services are started via smbd.service,nmbd.service, winbind.service. There is an samba-ad-dc script which is masked by default. To get the ad-dc up and running with systemd one has to unmask samba-ad-dc.service and mask smbd.service,nmbd.service, winbind.service. This is the

[FTS Xapian] Beta release
Difficult to figure out without a coredump + gdb I have also battled quite a lot to make sure dovecot can core dump on my Archlinux servers. I remember that the key point was putting FS.SUID_DUMPABLE=2 in /etc/sysctl.d/ conf files, LIMITCORE=INFINITY in /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dovecot.service, and rebooting the server. My own coredumps are on /var/lib/systemd/coredump/ On 2019-01-14 10:20, Paul Hecker via dovecot wrote: > Here it is: > > Jan 14 09:26:08 mail dovecot: indexer-worker(paul at iwascodin...

[4.2.14-Debian] Smbd not listening on 192.168.0.x on cold start
So it looks like the init script in the Samba package in the Debian repository needs to be edited for a non-DC home server. -- View this message in context: http://samba.2283325.n4.nabble.com/4-2-14-Debian-Smbd-not-listening-on-192-168-0-x-on-cold-start-tp4720131p4720160.html Sent from the Samba - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
