Crossrealm Kerberos problems
...ion process to run as the user requesting to login? Should
that be allowed?
Another thought is to backport some of the patches proposed for 2.2 that
remove krb5_kuserok from the loop.
Thank you for any insight. This server is not in production use so I
can experiment.

zvol used apparently greater than volsize for sparse volume
...(11.20) = 166907917926
which is 3.6% larger than volsize.
Is this a bug or a feature for sparse volumes? If a feature, how
much larger than volsize/compressratio can the actual used
storage space grow? e.g., fixed amount overhead and/or
fixed percentage?
Thanks.

rsync behind NAT
Hi
I use rsync as a client to copy a directory structure from a remote
server, once every month.
Until a few weeks ago, we had direct access to the internet - and the way
it would work is that the guy maintaining the rsync server would add my
machine's IP to an access list and I would run the rsync command from my
machine.
Recently however, our network was 'upgraded' to a NAT

[Bug 2495] New: add GSI GSSAPI SSO authentication to OpenSSH
...Portable OpenSSH
Version: 7.1p1
Hardware: amd64
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: Kerberos support
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org
Reporter: thomas.downes at ligo.org
This is effectively a bump of bug 958, filed by Jim Basney, to the
current version of openssh. Jim maintains a patch for openssh which
enables authentication with GSI GSSAPI.
Effectively it enables single-sign-on with certificate verification by
the client of the host and of the client by the...

RFE to allow dry-run against read only target
...rsync target that will be used by another application. Since dry-run mode does not require write access it would be convenient if the “module is read only” error message was only thrown if/when a write attempt is made and not assume write access is needed.
Thanks.

Samba Printing
Good Afternoon,
We recently added encrypted smb passwords to our site.
I just tried to add a printer to samba and it will not work.
I tried to connect to \\sambahost\printer and it will not connect.
All the older printers still work. I just wonder if there is an
extra step I need to perform now when I add printers?
Thanks for your time,
Bill

zpool scrub results in pool deadlock
I just ran zpool scrub on an active pool on an x4170 running S10U7 with the latest patches and iostat immediately dropped to 0 for all the pool devices and all processes associated with that device where hard locked, e.g., kill -9 on a zpool status processes was ineffective. However, other zpool on the system, such as the root pool, continued to work.
Neither init 6 nor reboot where able to take

Sol 10 x86_64 intermittent SATA device locks up server
Hello All,
I have an issue where I have two SATA cards with 5 drives each in one
zfs pool. The issue is one of the devices has been intermittently
failing. The problem is that the entire box seems to lock up on
occasion when this happens. I currently have the SATA cable to that
device disconnected in the hopes that the box will at least stay up for
now. This is a new build that I am
