plain text stories: motivation number 27
This is mostly theoretical, but ... I''m starting to use lighthouse (http://llighthouseapp.com) for my projects at work. I''m organizing iterations as milestones and stories as tickets tagged to a milestone. Lighthouse offers an API so that you can write access the data in your account and write apps to process that data. I think you see where this is goi...

help anyone?
Hi everybody. Per http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/rspec-users/2007-November/004572.html, we''re going to be moving ticket tracking over to lighthouse. We''d like to get this rolling sooner than later, but we''re fairly well occupied getting ready for the 1.1 release and writing rspec books :) We''ve got the lighthouse account set up. The thing we need to do to start using it is to get all the open tickets at rubyforge co...

Improve the Rails Lighthouse overview page
Hello, I have a suggestion to improve the Rails Lighthouse overview page. At present the description is very large. You need to scroll to find the tickets and more importantly the list of pages. I think a shorter description along the lines of http://i48.tinypic.com/2z6a7lt.png would be much better. All the information at present in the description can be...

Ticket tracking moved to lighthouse
Hi everyone, We''ve moved ticket tracking for the rspec project to http://rspec.lighthouseapp.com! Thanks to a valiant effort from Chad Humphries, the move was done in an evening. For those of you on the rspec-devel list, apologies for the wealth of noise in this process. I set the trackers to stop sending email and they apparently didn''t listen. For those of you who submitted...

Spam on Lighthouse
There''s been an increasing amount of spam comments on tickets in the Rails LH. Tender ticket is here: http://help.lighthouseapp.com/discussions/problems/1791 I''ve been going through and *deleting* spam comments, as the "Mark As Spam" button appears to simply hide the comment but leave active, Google-followable links live on the page. Once a comment is marked as spam, it doesn''t appear to be p...

Lighthouse:The Dark Being - crashed or hung (0.9.56)
Hi, I've now seen this same error twice. I'm playing the game and suddenly everything hangs. Ctrl-C kills the game and I'm back to the terminal. Before I report a bug I'm wondering if there are any settings in winecfg I should try? The game's setup program asks if I wanted to enable DirectX 8 features in the game. I could reinstall the game with those turned off it

getDimensions() fails for elements with ancestors with display: none
Prototype v1.6.0.2 If any of an element''s ancestors are hidden, Element.getDimensions() returns misleading values. In order to address this in my own project, I made the following modification: getDimensions: function(element) { element = $(element); var display = element.getStyle(''display''); + var hiddenAncestor = element.ancestors().any(function(e) {

Cucumber and multi-line steps
...cumber does not support multi-line steps like the edge rspec story runner (which makes sense since this was such a new feature to the story runner.) Anyways, I don''t have enough time at the moment to dig into it myself so I''d like to at least log it. Should we just use the rspec lighthouse account or should we create a new one? Thanks, Ben

TextMate bundle not compatible with nested specs for running focused tests?
Seems like the recently updated (and wonderful) textmate bundle does not take into account running individual tests that are in nested specs. Anybody else notice this? Any ideas? Lighthouse and Engine Yard sponsorships
Hey all, I''m very happy to announce that ActiveReload[1] has generously offered to sponsor a lighthouse[2] account for rspec. We''ll be moving ticket tracking there. We''ve already got the account set up and will soon make it public. We''re also going to be getting a sponsored slice at Engine Yard[3] to host source control, which will be either mercurial or git (TBD but we...

should have_tag outside Rails
Hi Google has not helped me here. I''m looking for a way to use the have_tag assert_select wrapper outside RSpec on Rails (but in a Rails project) so I can use it to check text strings. Has anyone managed this? Thanks Ashley -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Release date for Rails 2.3.6?
Hello guys, I went into milestones page (https://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994-ruby-on-rails/milestones) and found out that Rails 2.3.6 was due Jan 15, 2010. Does it mean all tickets in that milestone should be cleared first? If so, then I would pay attention to clear tickets in that bucket first. Thank you, Prem Sichanugrist (sikachu) -- You recei...

Cucumber and autotest
Hey all, Does anyone know how to disable the cucumber autotest support on a project? With this commit: http://github.com/aslakhellesoy/cucumber/commit/93470e2580b5e3cfe0c8eb3fce86e21bf8afa219 The cucumber features are worked into the autotest cycle automatically. This is cool, but on some projects I don''t think it fits well with my red->green->refactor cycle. Any ideas on
