difficulies with boxplot
...e upper bounds is directly on top of the boxplot of the lower bounds. The reason I don't want to have them next to each other is that I have another "grouping" variable. I tried "add" but didn't succeed. I'm using R 0.64.2 on Windows NT. Thanks for your help, Nina Lieske -- Das Recht auf Dummheit geh?rt zur Garantie der freien Entfaltung der Pers?nlichkeit. persp(): add second plane (second, long question)
Thank you for your replies so far. Sorry for bothering you again, but I'm still not able to get what I need as I don't understand all parts of the replies (just using R for easy things....). Is there a code for plane3d() like some of you sent me for points3d()? I was not able to get that out of the scatterplot3d package... What I can do is to get the x,y and z-range for the xlim,ylim and

persp(): add second plane
Dear R-users, is it possible to add a second plane to the persp()-plot? I couldn't find any hint on that in the news archive... I'm using R.1.4.1 for Windows. what line is labeled in persp?
Dear R-users, another question concerning a persp()-plot: What does it depend on which line is labeled as an axis? Some plots I've done look fine, but in one plot, a different line is labeled. I can't find out why, as I just copied the code. Two small *.ps-grafics can be downloaded on http://www.math.uni-bremen.de/~nina/grafic.html to illustrate my problem. Thanks for your help in

label tickmarks in persp()-plot
Dear R-users, is there a way to label the tickmarks other than persp does it? I didn't find anything on that in the archive. To plot the surface with equi-distant tickmarks, I assigned x<-c(1:6) y<-x persp(x,y,z,....) Instead of labels 1 to 6, I need something like 0.05, 0.1,10,15,100,1000. Any hint and help appreciated, Nina

persp(): z-axis annotation overwrites numbers at tickmark
Dear R-users first, thanks to Paul Murrell for fixing my problem "What line is labeled in persp()". It works great now (in the development version). One more question (I don't know if it's related to the "old" problem): the annotation on the z-axis overwrites the numbers at the tickmarks and sometimes, if numbers are pretty long, the numbers themselfe overlap the
