I was looking at vnc.c to see what would be involved in making a reverse VNC connection (vnc server connects to the client), and it looks possible but I also wondered if there was any reason why libvncserver couldn''t be used instead? Both qemu-dm and libvncserver appear to be licensed under GPL although I haven''t checked what version. hi there don't know if this is the right place for xen 3.1 package "complaints" as there is no official version. Is there a reason why libvncserver-dev is not included in the Build-Depends ? And i haven't found that XENFB_TOOLS (HVM VNC/SDL access) are enabled (searched vor XENFB_TOOLS=y). And is there some roadmap (sort of) of the Debian Xen Team ? - Thomas

As many of us are all too painfully aware we have completely different VNC server implementations for paravirt vs fullyvirt Xen guests. The former based on libvncserver, the latter integrated into QEMU. There are many new and interesting ideas being tried out in the VNC server space in particular wrt to virtualization and having to implement them all twice is not very desirable. The qemu log, say /usr/lib64/xen/bin/qemu-dm: invalid option -- ''-vncconnect'' But when I use RedHat or Fedora 32 bits, works fine.
