What hardware are you testing libusbx 1.0.19 with? Gigabyte F2A88X-D3H with AMD A8-6600K works fine with heimdall which I used to connect to a Samsung S2+ and now to a Samsung A3 (2016) . Some similar board ( I do not recall exactly what model was it, could have been either identical or DH3 which is basically the same motherboard w...

...- see below) of them is compatible with the running kernel. Everything but nut is stock CentOS 6 and fully updated. I am 100% positive that libsub0.1 which was used until yesterday ( and 1.0.9 which proved to be incompatible with nut ) are 100% compatible with the kernel. I cannot guarantee for libusbx 1.0.19 (which I used instead of 1.0.9) because I built it myself. However I am using the very same package on my personal workstation (which is also running CentOS 6 but has a whole lot of packages installed either from 3rd party repos or built by me ) since Fri 09 Jan 2015 (I needed it for...

Error: libusb-1.0.so.0 is needed....
Trying to install Canon printer driver package (rpm), I get a dependency error: libusb-1.0.so.0 is needed.... The version currently installed on my 5.9 system is libusb-0.1.12-6.el5 and, AFAIK (per yum), no upgrade to that is available. So question: Do higher centos versions have libusb-1.0.so ? (We could perform a quick inventory with: uname -r; rpm -q libusb Thanks.

openocd
Does anybody have openocd-0.9.0 RPM for CentOS6 x86_64? I was able to compile F23's SRPM (along with two libraries - hidapi-0.7.0 from F19 and libusbx-1.0.14 from F19) but it gives me only "Segmentation fault". Unfortunately i'm too inexperienced to debug it by my own (gdb and strace didn't help me). -- Over And Out MoonWolf

...4-418-gb1314c62.7.4.1/drivers/libusb1.c:289: > more undefined references to `libusb_strerror' follow I did some more digging. It turns out that the version of libusb 1.0 ( 1.0.9 ) included by RH in RHEL 6 misses the libusr_strerror function completely. I bypassed that by building against libusbx ( oldish but good enough, I think -- 1.0.19). Unfortunately there not much gain as the usbhid driver still cannot access that f*ing interface: [root at belgrade ~]# usbhid-ups -DDDD -u root -x explore -x vendorid="0463" -a eaton Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.42 (v2.7.4-418-...

Passing hid_rep_index to libusb_get_config_descriptor is wrong?
@jimklimov: Looking at the code that uses hid_rep_index, hid_desc_index, and hid_ep_in|out in usb_subdriver (all in nut_libusb.h) I don't see any use of the addvars mechanism. If I follow the examples that set and use those struct members, it looks like everything relies on them being initialized to 0 by default, then only set in subdrivers or situations that need something different. If I
