USB drivers not found when compiling
Came across this in the process of troubleshooting: https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2011-November/007249.html My whole reason for compiling from source is to add SSL support (as it doesn't seem available through the package manager). Apt list shows these installed: libusb-1.0-0-dev/stable,now 2:1.0.22-2 armhf [installed] libusb-1.0-0/stable,now 2:1.0.22-2 armhf

nut server without nut-client/monitor?
Isn't "nut" package there an umbrella/meta-package (in terms of other distros) to pull together the likely suspects in one command? Not at a computer now, but I think Debian and OpenIndiana packages were grouped this way. Likely all packages with daemons would depend on a "nut-common" package then, to consistently deliver user accounts, systemd-tmpfiles and other similar

...le reason for compiling from source is to add SSL support (as it doesn't seem available through the package manager). The mainline Debian buster compiles nut against the Mozilla NSS library. Since the network code is in a library, you will only see the dependencies on libnss3 and libnspr4 from libupsclient4, not from nut-client and nut-server. I assume this holds true for Raspbian as well. > I've been referring to these docs: > > https://networkupstools.org/docs/user-manual.chunked/ar01s05.html <https://networkupstools.org/docs/user-manual.chunked/ar01s05.html> > https://networ...

Init SSL without certificate database
Hello, Also note that NUT project does not currently issue packages, and I have a hard time guessing what distro might ship a "driver.version: DSM7-1-1-42930-workplus-version2-repack-42930-220712". Ask them what NUT version (release or snapshot) they use, and if they would consider shipping a newer one? Sometime recently (after 2.8.0 release) an option was added to quiesce this

This is new install on Ubuntu 16.04, using packages from Synaptic, *Network UPS Tools upsd 2.7.2 I am getting these messages in the terminal: Broadcast message from nut at amethi (somewhere) (Fri Dec 2 12:33:03 2016): UPS CyberUPS1 at localhost is unavailable I am still unclear on where to set when nut shutdowns system. I see nut-client and nut server are automatically starting from SystemD.
