The theora_unpack_comment casts a pointer-to-int to a pointer-to-long,
which breaks badly if ints and longs are different sizes. The attached

libtheora
Hi,
I just installed debian (ubuntu) on this machine:
Linux ludwig 2.6.8.1-3-amd64-generic #1 Tue Oct 12 11:40:38 UTC 2004 x86_64
GNU/Linux
but neither libtheora0 and libtheora-dev from packet nor libtheora-1.0alpha4 I
compiled seems to work

both mplayer or vlc can't read video stream
Theora header parsing failed: -20
or
[00000247] theora decoder error: This bitstream does not contain Theora video data
any helps?

[ANNOUNCE] Unofficial icecast-kh and libtheora Debian Sarge packages
...opers, will hopefully speed up its development and release process.
To install them follow these steps:
- add my repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://xicnet.com/debian/ sarge main
- For Debian Sarge just do:
apt-get install icecast2 libtheora0
- For Debian Testing there seems to be an issue where it tries to
install
the older icecast2 package which conflicts with libtheora alpha6, so
you
might get "broken dependencies".
So to workaround this just do:
apt-get install icecast2=2.3-kh6-1 libtheora0=0.0.0.al...

video quality problem, encodeing with ffmpeg2theora -p pro
...d as -p pro and -p preveiw. All the test files ran OK with the video
veiwers and I have veiwed other viedos encoded as " -p pro " with no problems
at all.
Its just the encodeding I do with " ffmpeg2theora -p pro " that goes wrong.
OS : Debian etch
ffmpeg2theora 0.16-2+b1
libtheora0 0.0.0.alpha7.dfsg-1.1
Cpu 2 x : Pentium III (Coppermine) cpu MHz : 665.218
MemTotal: 256928 kB
So any idears what is be going wrong ?

missing file in debian folder.
these file should be in cvs in the debian subfolder so that is
actually produces usable deb files. j
