How to install libquicktime on CentOS 7 in one (or two) line of command?
Hi,
For some reason, I need support of QuickTime on my CentOS 7. So I
searched the internet and found that something called "|libquicktime|"
can provide that support. So I download the rpm file from
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libquicktime%28x86-64%29.
Then I ran command "|rpm -i libquicktime-1.2.4-31.el7.x86_64.rpm|" and
got the following errors:

How to install libquicktime on CentOS 7 in one (or two) line of command?
OK, ok, let's put an end to this thread. We are all dilettantes and
further discussion would be just a waster of time, as is everywhere in
online forums. Fortunately I don't have critical tasks to run on linux.
Thank everyone for your involvement. Hope I can find the link to quit here.

Now when I do a "yum list" I can find lots of the apps that I am
looking for. But when I try to install packages I get things like:
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 6b8d79e6
Public key for libquicktime-0.9.8-2.el4.rf.i586.rpm is not installed
I can get installs to happen by changing the line in
/etc/yum.respon.d/dag.repo from one to zero on the gpgcheck line.
Questions:
1) Is dag a good repository to get me these apps that aren't part of the
stock CentOS repository file? If not, which o...

xawtv lib issue.
I'm trying to make xawtv work on my CentOS 4.4 i386 boxen.
It fails with this error:
This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.9-42.0.8.EL)
load_codec_info_from_plugin: dlopen failed for
/usr/lib/libquicktime/lqt_ffmpeg.so:
/usr/lib/libquicktime/lqt_ffmpeg.so: undefined symbol: avcodec_init
Segmentation fault
I yum installed all the rpms it wanted but still no go. I know someone
else was having this same issue and asked in the centos forums. Does
anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks,
