You could try the binary appliance: http://libguestfs.org/download/binaries/appliance/ Instructions are in the README file. IIRC if you already have libguestfs built, you just have to set the LIBGUESTFS_PATH to point to the directory where you unpacked the appliance. Version of libguestfs is 1.20. Running on Debian wheezy. It was compiled from source downloaded from the official page.
