I installed a gcvs package today. I tried to then run gcvs and I get this error: gcvs: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory rpm -qa | grep libgtk returns nothing. yum install libgtk returns Nothing to do. Hi After upgrading a machine from RHEL-4.5 to 5.2, the Gnome doesn't start anymore. There are strange messages when I issue the command "startx" (I'm using inittab=3). The message is nautilus: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: pango_language_get_default Where is the information to "nautilus" look in /usr/local/bin? I could swear that this was working just last week, but now when I run the Adobe Acrobat reader, it hangs. If I run it "directly" (/usr/bin/acroread) with -DEBUG as the first argument, I get an infinite loop of: expr: syntax error I tried removing and reinstalling it, but no change.
