Hi,

flac-1.0.3_beta released
I have just released a source distribution which is the
candidate for the 1.0.3 release. At this time I would
ask anyone who is willing to help test it to do the
following:
1. download the tarball and unzip it:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/flac/flac-1.0.3_beta-src.tar.gz?download
2. do
./configure && make && make check
This will build all code and run all the tests.

Off-topic: Problems after upgrade RHEL 4.5 to 5.2
Hi
After upgrading a machine from RHEL-4.5 to 5.2, the Gnome doesn't start
anymore.
There are strange messages when I issue the command "startx" (I'm using
inittab=3).
The message is
nautilus: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0:
undefined symbol: pango_language_get_default
Where is the information to "nautilus" look in /usr/local/bin?
Thanks

Unless I had a good reason to be building GTK 4.0 from source, I'd
just install the packaged version from the Ubuntu repos:
sudo apt install libgtk-4-dev
You may not get the very latest version, but it's a lot less work.

libtk8.3.so is needed by R-1.7.1-1
I guess the "warning" can be ignored, but I'm bothered by the failed
dependency.
A: There are libtcl8.3.so and libtcl.so under /usr/lib;
B: There's various "libgtk" under /usr/lib;
C: There's no "libtk"
D: I can't find any explicit reference to "libtk" in the installation
GUI when the installation CDs are being used. So, even if libtk is
in there somewhere, I can't find where to look for it. (I don't

[PATCH 0/4] p2v: fix virt-p2v-make-disk on Debian
Hi,
this small series fixes the generation of Debian-based images using
virt-p2v-make-disk. With this series, the image can boot fine, X is
started, and the p2v interface appears. I haven't tried an actual
conversion, but I don't think there are Debian-specific problems
preventing that.
Thanks,

AcroRead failing miserably in CentOS 5.0
I could swear that this was working just last week, but now when I run
the Adobe Acrobat reader, it hangs. If I run it "directly"
(/usr/bin/acroread) with -DEBUG as the first argument, I get an
infinite loop of:
expr: syntax error
I tried removing and reinstalling it, but no change.
Any ideas?

acoread-8.1.2 (which is patched) requires RHEL5 as per Adobe (libgtk+2.6
?). It appears that despite this requirement, it happily runs under 4 as
well.. at least for the limited use we foresee over here.
