cfservd crashing on 7.0
Hi, I just moved my cfservd (a part of sysutils/cfengine) from a 6.2 server to a 7.0 server. Ever since, cfservd crashes regularly. The backtrace is below, although obviously it is missing a lot. If anyone has clues or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. # gdb /usr/local/sbin/cfservd cfservd.core GNU gdb 6.1.1 [FreeBSD] Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. GDB is free

Your OpenSSL headers do not match your library

libcrypto requires libdl
My libcrypto does dynamic library linking (dlopen(), etc) and consequently prerequires libdl. I.e. if you link with -lcrypto, you must also specify -ldl. I don't know how unique this situation is to me, but it causes configure to fail. The symptom is that configure complains that libcrypto does not exist (because it does a test link to test for existence of libcrypto and assumes that any

LIBCRYPTO?
Hi all, I have a question about OpenSSH configuration. In Makefile there is defined LIBS=$(LIBCRYPTO), but the problem is that the version of OpenSSL that I'm using holds only the version LIBCRYPT. When adding LIBCRYPT to the Makefile I get: sshd.elf2flt: In function `key_regeneration_alarm': /.../ssh/sshd.c:252: undefined reference to `RSA_free' /.../ssh/sshd.c:253: undefined

Binary updates for SA-06:23?
Is it just me, or freebsd-update isn't yet shipping the openssl updates? I'm trying (on an SMP machine) to fetch them, but there seem to be none available. I'd like to confirm that sleep deprivation isn't the culprit here, so I've checked in /usr/local/freebsd-update/work/ and the subdirectory with the highest number contains the SA-06:21 files. Anyone seen that clue bat

Dovecot 2.2.25 fails on SSL
Dear Dovecot developers! This problem already existed some years ago, has been fixed, and now it's there again in Dovecot 2.2.25 (2.2.24 was fine). I'm running CentOS 6 with a custom OpenSSL installation in /usr/local/ssl Therefore, Dovecot is configured like this: env SSL_CFLAGS="-I/usr/local/ssl/include" SSL_LIBS="-L/usr/local/ssl/lib -Wl,-R/usr/local/ssl/lib -lcrypto

make tests failures (agent.sh)
Hello, I recently setup a CentOS 4.0 box (a derivative of RH). I downloaded a 4.0p1 tarball of OpenSSH and grabbed OpenSSL 0.9.7e. I configured OpenSSL with, $ ./Configure no-idea no-rc5 shared linux-pentium and it built fine. I didn't do a make install. I then configured OpenSSH. Here is a snippet of config.log: [scott at choke openssh-4.0p1]$ less config.log ... This file contains any
