VMWare problems on CentOS 3.3 x86-64
...n CentOS as my main OS and then use VMWare to still support Windows XP machines and run the couple of applications which refuse to work properly under Wine. I installed the RPM okay, ran the configuration script fro VMWare, however when it comes to running VMware I get a message about a missing libaray - "ld- linux.so.2". I did a search on the hard disk and couldn't find it. I also couldn't find an RPM package (either source or binary) to install. Everything else on CentOS seems to be going okay, its really fast compared to Suse 9.1 which I was running previously (not sure...

Install Package(RODBC) warning , why?
Hi everybody, Could I consult one problem? I want to access database with RODBC, first download this package from http://www.microsoft.com/data/odbc as part of MDAC, the version is the newest version 2.7.0. But after I have installed this Package(RODBC) and run command libaray(RODBC), the R system report the fillowing warning information. ...troublesome if there is a shared object to be loaded in the NAMESPACE file? If I rename the NAMESPACE file to something else, I would need to put back library.dynam() in .First.lib(), right? I thought it might work to write some code in .First.lib that checks for existence of NAMESPACE, and call libaray.dynam() conditionally. Does this sound about right? On a slightly different topic: In R-2.0.0, packages with NAMESPACE no longer need to use the package= argument in .C/.Fortran. Does that mean if I remove those arguments, I should put R version >= 2.0.0 in the Depend field of the DESCRIPTIO...
