I'm not talking about a bootable CD but rather one that I could pop into a CD ROM drive and run trusted commands like ps, netstat, ls, etc., from. Can anyone provide a suggestion as to how to force samba to take a fresh look at the file every time I open/read it from Windows? I've got Samba 2.2.3a running on Debian Linux Kernel 2.4.21 setup as a domain controller. When I try to add a Windows XP Workstation I get the following message. Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more then one user name, are not allowed. I've installed the singseal registry patch already. I have successfully set of two Samba servers under Red Hat Linux 6.0 and 9.0. I am having trouble getting Samba 3.0 Fedora Linux Samba to show up on the windows machine. I can't find the solution in either of the two books that I bought, or the online resources after spending several days working on this.
