Gnumeric
Hi, I am trying to install Gnumeric in CentOS 4 and I can't. It complains about quite a few dependencies failing. It suggested installing some postgresql librairies, openldap librairies... I did that, now I still get: dependencies failed: libmdb/libmdbsq/libsqlite/libxbase/libtds. Is there a yum repository that has them or a yum repository for gnumeric? I have tried Dag, he does not, he

[Bug 14284] New: frequent DMA queue hangs on NV34 on powerpc
...ij.org QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org When stressing the machine a bit (scrolling large amounts of icons, or running gtkperf usually does the trick) but also after some time of normal use, I inevitably get X to reset because of a hang in the DMA queue. Office 2003 does not save files on NTFS partitions?
Hi Thank you for reading my post. I have a problem, I installed latest version of wine (1.1.3) and office 2003, the problem is that Office does not save any document which resides in NTFS partitions while those partitions are mounted as read-write partitions. I use Ubuntu 8.04, and it would be a great help if someone can help me resolve this problem. Thanks

Bug#260743: logcheck-database: dhcp rule updates for failover support
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.23 Severity: minor Hi, a couple of minor corrections to the dhcp rule sets: First of all, the hostname matching parts need to include the "._-" signs (maybe . is not needed but it might be). Then when using failover, log lines of type DHCPDISCOVER and DHCPREQUEST may be entailed by the string ": load balance to peer <somestring>".

Samba 3 and network printing setup
...gfix, I can't log into the Samba machine anymore (with User security). So, I decided to install the drivers on the console (in Linux) using the Samba HOWTO for printing. The first step worked fine (putting the drivers on the Samba server). The second step failed with a WERR_BAD_PASSWORD: john@legolas:~/tmp/printer$ sudo rpcclient rivendell -U'root%passwd' rpcclient $> adddriver Usage: adddriver <Environment> \ <Long Printer Name>:<Driver File Name>:<Data File Name>:\ <Config File Name>:<Help File Name>:<Language Monitor Name>:...

Roaming Profiles under LDAP backend
...worried about separating them still? Both the Win2K and WinXP workstations have all the latest security patches and updates with the exception of SP2 on the WinXP. Seems now that since sambaProfilePath is set in the LDAP tree it is forcing (in my case) the "testuser1" profile to.. \\LEGOLAS\profiles\testuser1 I have tried removing the sambaProfilePath attribute from the LDAP user's dn so that the "login path" samba config can take over. In such a case (assuming "logon path = \\%L\profiles\%u\%m") %u does not expand to "testuser1" but %m will expan...
