Samba NTFS permissions
Hi, I am new to this list.
Does samba 3 support ntfs permissions or a way to map them?
Creating a share for a user is easy but can you set different file
permissions in that share with separate ntfs permissions to give different
users permission to different areas of the share? This is on an Active
Directory network. Thank you.

Bug status for next release
Hi all,
I''ve now finished all of the functionality I plan to add in the next
release, so all that remains is closing as many open bugs as
possible. I''ve gone through and marked all of the bugs I
specifically plan on fixing with the ''minor'' milestone. If you have
a bug in the db[1] that you think needs to be fixed in the next
release but is not

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Open source time card application for Asterisk
A little bird whispers to me: Don't expect this
particular trick to be un-addressed by various
legislatures forever. That window is closing,
and the bottom of the window looks very much like
a guillotine blade - don't have your head in the
wrong place.
In any case, as has been discussed on -users
before (which is where this thread should go, and
thus where I'm relegating it) that spoofing...

tm: custom reader for readPlain
Hello:
I have a series of newspaper articles from a Canadian newspaper database (Canadian Newsstand) that look just like below.
I've read through this vignette (http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/tm/vignettes/extensions.pdf) about creating a custom reader to extract meta-data, but I can't understand how to apply this in the context of a text document, rather than in the tabular format

Minor patches to openssh-1.2pre17 for Solaris
Almost worked first time (Solaris 2.7, gcc-2.95.2). Well done.
perl -i -p -e 's/-m644/-m 644/' Makefile.in
Also, it would be nice to be able to set up LFLAGS somehow, to provide the
following:
LFLAGS=-R/usr/local/lib
YMMV with the path. That way the executables will run without setting
LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I can't see where to tweak this in the configure setup at
the moment - I'll

What ever happened to the dkms atheros drivers/
My OQO boxes have the AR5413 wifi chipset, so for the first time in
quite a while, I again need to run madwifi. So I went looking for the
dkms madwifi rpms, but could not find them. They use to be on rpmforge,
as I recall. dkms is there.
So have I lost some memory cells or have these rpms taken a hike?

Unable to use DRBD after a reboot
Hi,
I have two servers in a drbd primary/secondary setup. Everything was fine
until I had to reboot both servers.
The primary rebooted first, the secondary assumed fine, but when the (old
primary) server got back online it was unable to mount the drbd fs
complaining about the modules.
I've tried to find out the problem but the servers seem to have the same
setup

Fail2Ban
Hi all,
I am trying to get fail2ban going on my server and its log message
reports the following error

fail2ban-SSH' returned 256
2009-02-16 17:42:05,354 ERROR: 'iptables -D INPUT -p tcp --dport ssh

Is this because of the way the RedHat tool sets up the firewall?
Thanks for any responses.

CD-ROM not recognized
Howdy Folks,
I'm trying to run Cryo's Arthur's Knights under wine. I've managed to
install using setup.exe, but when I go to play the game, I get an error
message telling me to insert CD #1, even though CD #1 is in the CD-ROM
tray and mounted.
Any clues as to why I would be getting this message, how to convince the
game that the CD is actually in the CD-ROM drive, or how to
