Legions: Overdrive on Linux/Ubuntu with WINE
I'm new to Linux/Ubuntu and need some help getting Legions: Overdrive (http://www.legionsoverdrive.com/) with PlayOnLInux and WINE. Legions: Overdrive is a sci-fi FPS game, Freedom of movement returns in this spiritual successor to Tribes. Travel by jetpack and ski over foreign landscapes, dodging grenades and shooting enemies in deathmatch mode. Sharpen...

Is R really an open source S+ ?
This is not a criticism. I'm just curious. Is there an effort to keep R comparable to S+? Or are the two languages diverging? I am doing what probably legions have done before me, and legions will after me...using R on examples from text books written with S+ code. Most of the time everything appears to be equivalent. And then there are amazing divergences in commands. For instance: S: stdev R: sd why this difference? Other examples... S: Bootstr...

Sendmail-SMTP, Cyrus-IMAPD and plus (+) addressing.
...for about a week and no matter what I have tried, all traffic addressed in the +folder format ends up in user.username.inbox instead. If anyone has gotten this to work then I would very much appreciate knowing the exact steps that you followed to implement it. 1. I am not changing smtp MTAs, the legions of fans of qmail and postfix notwithstanding. 2. Ditto for imap and dovecot. -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B. Re: disk config
Since your actually forming the raid on dom-0 and not inside of the guest, there is absolutely no need to load md and associated modules in the guest at all. The guest will just see the volume group you are exporting as a regular sata drive the same size as the vg being exported. I''m guessing the second drive is for swap? Does Wine support the NVIDIA 7186 drivers?
A query regarding WINE support for older hardware: Does Wine support the NVIDIA 7186 drivers, or are they too old and unsupported now? Following on from this post - http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=7509 and http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=6574&highlight=rome+total+war I've been playing around a bit. I've tried without installing DX9 as well as using Winetricks to

CentOS 4 and CentOS 5 DomU on CentOS 5 Dom0: problems with hand-built OS and LVM
I''ve been running any number of CentOS 4 based Xen hosts and guests using CentOS 4.4, and the Xen RPM''s from www.xensource.com, and various hand-built OS images using jailtime and my own own OS images. I like the jailtime approach: One partition for / on the DomU, /dev/sda1, built as a local file or local LVM partition One partiton for swap on the DomU, /dev/sda2,

CentOS events for 2018/2019
TL;DR: What events should we go to? Tell me at https://goo.gl/forms/kLZ2y1H1jRSy4NdC3 (Cross-posting from promo@ mailing list, to get a wider participation. Thanks!) Looking at the coming 12 months, I need some feedback as I select events that need to have a CentOS presence of some kind. While I have already committed to some of these events (See below), starting around July we haven't

[PATCH v2] drm/nouveau: don't detect DSM for non-NVIDIA device
The call site of nouveau_dsm_pci_probe() uses single set of output variables for all invocations. So, we must not write anything to them unless it's an NVIDIA device. Otherwise, if we are called with another device after the NVIDIA device, we'll clober the result of the NVIDIA device. For example, if the other device doesn't have _PR3 resources, the detection later would miss the

Hello, I'm going to use * as SIP<->H.323 proxy (codecs doesn't matter - only pass through). I compile * (v1.0.0) without any problems as far as H.323 stack (pwlib, etc). Games like Medal of Honor Allied Assault and code of Honor French Legion (just a 2 of the alot) has specific issues comparing with nvidia cards. in those games nvidia cards run smoothly but ATI cards/AMD Radeon do work, but "stotter" when walking and turning at the same time. Playing the games with Nvidia has not that issue. In other

Resolved: NT4 + SP3 reports can't NetServerEnum2 using Samba
...ood. Many thanks to Paul Blackman who my employer will pay for his prompt assistance and audit of our SMB setup. I think it's possible that readers of this list can make a real contribution and provide a good commercial service if they can provide prompt knowlegable and effective help for the legions of users who want to plug it in and have it work. Apart from Commercial Samba Support there does not seem to be much professional support for Microsoft Networking (SMB, browsing). What does appear to be available are . people wearing suits who flourish the MS documents but can't apply them...
