backdoor by authorized_keys2 leftovers
...wasn't aware of the file's existance on the server and use by sshd,
since this "backward compatibility" isn't documented, not even a
historical reference about "obsolete" or "deprecated".
Maybe it's time to drop the old stuff not to get haunted by such
leftovers again.
Thanks, regards,

ProxyCommand and ExitOnForwardFailure = leftover process
...l_setup_fwd_listener: cannot listen to port: 3333
Could not request local forwarding.
ssh (pid 31923) exits as can be expected since I specified the
ExitOnForwardFailure=yes option. However, this time, ssh doesn't kill
the ssh sub process doing the forwarding via hostB, and I'm left with
a leftover ssh process:
31924 ssh hostB nc hostC 22
I guess this is not a huge issue, and I'm sure I can come up with some
workaround, but it currently creates a few problems in my scripts. Is
this a bug, or is this behavior normal?
Thanks,
Lars

leftover bugs filed against Xen 3.x
Hi,
there are quite some ancient xen bug reports filed against packages that
the BTS does not know (any longer) since they have been removed.
I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the xen bugs (mostly
xen 3.x stuff that was neither reassigned to xen 4 nor closed at the
time xen3 was removed) and either reassign them to existing (source)
packages or close them.
The complete list of

Leftover from something? Commenting it out doesn't break the build here.
If needed, then we need to lift stuff in a separate header and share it
or so. I want to include as less as possible crap from kernel proper and
eventually untangle arch/x86/boot/ because include/linux/ definitions
are a real pain...

Leftover mbox behavior from uw transition
Currently running dovecot 0.99.12 on a RHEL 3 server. This system used
to use UW imap with mbox mailboxes, is now using dovecot with Maildir.
(Actual user shell logins are not permitted.) Performance is
tremendously improved. However, we still have users that have their
client imap root set to the "mail" or "mail/" directory. (Can't
reach/change them all easily.)

Leftover sound on isdn modem channel
Hi,
I have a strange problem on some isdn modem channels. (* 1.0.9 /
chan_modem / 2xHFC-S cards).
Everything works fine but when the 2nd (and 3rd etc..) call comes in and
* answers and there is about a 1/2 second of sound from the previous
call (ivr) before the sound from the new call is heard. It just sounds
bad and is quite annoying.
I am assuming this is sound that is still in a buffer

Leftovers in Network Neighborhood
Hi there,
In our Network Neighborhood I can see items for old workgroups and domains

Rgui bug in Windows: leftover download dialog (PR#7964)
In Windows, if a download is interrupted (by switching to the console
window and hitting ESC), the download status dialog can be left
onscreen, with no apparent way to get rid of it (other than stopping and
restarting R).
To duplicate:
Run this:
a <- available.packages()
download.packages(a, 'c:/temp')
Then, during a particularly long download, switch to the console window

How to pull /var/mail mbox leftovers to Maildirs?
I just got my preferred postfix+dovecot(-1.1.1) configuration working on
Ubuntu 8.04 server. Users and Maildirs migrated, etc.
I wasn't seeing inbound mail (in the email client) until I set:
sudo postconf -e 'home_mailbox = Maildir/'
Which I hadn't needed in the previous server's main.cf
I have a few hours worth of inbound mostly-spam in /var/mail/(username)
during the time

Windows R CMD build <pkg> leftovers
A command
R CMD build <pkg>
that fails, e.g., because of C code compilation errors, leaves a
directory %TMPDIR%/Rinst.xxx containing the file R.css. Although R
CMD INSTALL --build cleans up after itself, build does not. A fix is
below. Also, build.in references Rcmd.exe, which I thought was no
longer necessary?

Leftover Budgettone issues
I have my new phone mostly working. I do have a couple of residuals
that I cannot find mentioned in the list archives:
1. Is it possible to set the volume in these things? I hope I didn't
miss it, but I've looked in the doc, the FAQ, and the asterisk archives
and don't find anything. The displays in the pictures all have more
bars on them than my phone does, and I need a bit

leftover fixture data causing errors
Maybe I''m not getting fixtures, but... I''m having problems as I start using
fixtures in functional tests.
Data is left in my test database after running functional tests. Not the data
created by the test-method (I''m using transactional fixtures), but data from the
fixtures themselves. Fixture loading will delete & reload the data again when
the test is re-run, but
