Does anyone know if there's a service out there to -- for a fee --
inject our DID into the LEC's CLI database so a called party gets our

Yes, it's from kde.

All kde programs work in all desktop managers provided that you install the required libraries. The same is true for gnome programs.

Softswitch
Pardon my ignorance, but I was hoping someone could clear up something for
me.
- For a few POTS lines, digium has a single port card for that, or a T1 card
to a channel bank.
- For 10 or more lines, digium has a T1 or E1 card for that too based on PRI
channels
- For 100's to 1000's of lines, I suspect a soft-switch is in order???
A traditional phone company will sell:

The problem is that (even with no office lines active) the modems
have difficulty establishing a connection, the connection is slow

We have tried the Dial '...

How to get long distance carrier to provide separate billing for several companies that share a PRI to LEC?
I have a single PRI to our local telco that is shared by
multiple companies. I would like to find a way to get our
long distance carrier to provide separate billing for these
companies.
I am currently calling Authenticate() to collect an account code
which is written to the call detail record, then I estimate the
charges for each company by parsing the call detail records.
This doesn't work well since we are billed different rates for
intrastate/interstate/international calls and I don't want to
keep up with rates for e...

Zplex-10 Dialing Issue
...20:00
T100P -> Zplex-10
All internal call routing seems to work fine. Atempts to make calls on the FXO interface fail. Asterisk picks up the correct number dialed but there seems to be a problem with the Zplex transmitting that number on the POTS line. All attempts to dial out fail with the LEC giving me a message that the number dialed is invalid or that I should or shouldn't dial the area code. I'm guessing that the Zplex is passing bad or badly timed tones to the LEC. The same configuration seems to work with an Adtran 750. Is there any way within asterisk to modify how DTMF...

DID on TDM400P Question?
Does anyone know if the current TDM400 card can take DID digits from the LEC?
If so is there any reference to how to set this all up? As I get my current
service from my LEC over an IAD, so would be sweet to just have trunks, not
each channel specific to a number.
Also if the above is possible, if the line is being used for DID, then is
this only workable for inbound, or...

Random Behavior on Trunk Lines with TDM Card
...ly put a wait (w$EXTEN) in the dial
sequence and fixed the problems. We did the same and it automagically
fixed itself. This is great, of course, but I was wondering if someone
out there could give me a more detailed explanation of why this works
and why you have to implement this trick with some telecom providers and
not with others. Verison provides our trunks at our branch office, but
this issue has never arisen at our home office where we have SBC. We are
running * v1.0 with a Digium 4 port FXO TDM card.

Any experience with lanner appliances?
Hi,
anybody has installed CentOS on an lanner appliance...?
Eg. http://www.lannerinc.com/products/all-purpose-box-computers/industrial-automation/lec-2126
I was planning to buy an hp microserver to make a "small" CentOS firewall (and more since it is overpowered), but I am wondering if I could go for a lot smaller and with no fan/noise... but at the same time a bit more expensive...
Thx,

Zap Channel Oddity
Can anyone help me start to diagnose why a Sangoma A200 wouldn't dial out LD? Local calls are fine, incoming is fine, just no LD. Bell tech has been on site and plugged into lines with his test set and was able to dial LD just fine, so it's not a LEC issue.
No errors in asterisk console, using zaptel 1.4.11 and sangoma drivers 3.2.6, asterisk 1.4.18

PRI D Channel and Caller-ID issue......
...yone has encountered and overcome this situation:
We've got a PRI to our Asterisk system and notice that if a call comes in
from a phone on our network, both caller name and caller number are
delivered in the D Channel setup message. If a call comes to our switch
from off-network, i.e. the LEC, long distance, or a cellular provider,
only the caller number is sent in the setup message. We've found out that
the caller name information is sent but in a later D channel message, not
the setup.
Is there a way to have Asterisk gather that information from subsequent
messages?
Thanks...
