Show the subnets learnt and update configuration without reset?
1. Is there any tools/command, we can show the subnet where a certain tinc nodes learnt? So that I can know the weight for certain subnet(in real time), instead of go back to the node’s (who advertise the subnet) configuration file to check. 2. So far in order to change the weight of a subnet, or something else, I have to reset the tinc daemon( tincd -k -n myvpn and then tincd -n m...

Off-Topic: LaTeX package listings
Hola! I ask here since I learnt from this list that the LaTeX package listings should be good for typesetting R code. I encountered one problem: \begin{lstlisting} X %*% V \end{lstlisting} in the output the * in %*% disappears! same with %/%, etc, the / disappears. Any ideas? Kjetil -- Kjetil Halvorsen. Peace is the...

poly objects as data frame columns
Dear UseRs, I just learnt that the number of columns of a data frame is not always what I thought it to be, and I wonder where I should have learnt about this. Consider the following example: dat <- data.frame(X1=1:10, X2=LETTERS[1:10]) ncol(dat) ## evaluates to 2 (of course) dat$X1poly <- poly(dat$X1,3) dat...

RE: ntpd
Hi Nitin, First of all, you can verify that ntpd is responding on ingress with netcat : nc -u ingress 123 (udp connection on port 123) also try a netstat -an on ingress to be sure that the port 123 is in listen state... I recently install ntpdate, and it has worked as a client and a local ntp server immediatly. Good Luck, Yannick / Annecy in France -----Message d''origine----- De :

Handling functions as objects
I learnt that functions can be handled as objects, the same way the variables are. So, the following is perfectly valid: > f = function(a, b) { + print(a) + print(b) + } > > f1 = function(foo) { + foo(1,2) + } > > f1(f) [1] 1 [1] 2 > I also know that operators are functions,...

summary of categorical variables
...(as.factor(mydf[,3])) 0 1 2 NA's 194 67 4 2 Trying to use apply() to get this for all the columns of the data.frame I cannot use as.factor because it works with vectors and not data.frames. Can anyone help me? Maybe a for loop would be good in this case instead, although I learnt that for loops are not recommended? Thanks in advance, David

support of `substitute(...())`
Dear R Core Team, I learnt approx. two years ago in this mailing list that one can use the following "trick" to get a (dotted pair)list of the ellipsis arguments inside a function: `substitute(...())` Now my problem is that I can not find any occurrence of this call within the R source - the most frequent solu...

Controlling access at the Ethernet level
> What would you recommand ? Are there any other elegant solutions ? > How about using 802.1Q vlan's and dedicate a vlan to each port. If more than 4000 users then add more gateways. Just be sure to go for switches that allow you to deny incoming already tagged packets on the user side as some switches passes already tagged packets. For a wireless environment i would suggest PPPoE

test for exponential,lognormal and gammadistribution
hello! i don't want to test my sample data for normality, but exponential- lognormal- or gammadistribution. as i've learnt the anderson-darling-test in R is only for normality and i am not supposed to use the kolmogorov-smirnov test of R for parameter estimates from sample data, is that true? can you help me, how to do this anyway! thank you very much! nadja

For each entry type in column?
It?s sometimes faster to ask from someone who has already learnt the syntax. In this case one has to do e.g. names(data$somecol) To get the collection and then iteration through it is almost like in Python: for(i in names(data$somecol)) { # do something } > Bert Gunter <bgunter.4567 at gmail.com> kirjoitti 6.11.2017 kello 19.55: > > Time t...

Bar plot with error bars
...and I don't know how to specify the different error for each bar. What I have managed to do so far:- -calculate mean and standard error -plots means with confidence intervals -plot means as bar plot but with no error bars or confidence intervals -everything except what I want to do! I have learnt a lot about R but it is getting rather frustrating that I can do complex GLMs but cannot do a simple plot in 4 hours! I have migrated to R because I like the way it can do almost anything and because I'm trying to go almost completely freeware as everytime I move institution I run into...

R on the Cydia Store
...ps/details?id=com.appsopensource.R https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsopensource.Rpremium In the mean time, we have developped its equivalent app for the App Store. We released it on march 2014. We have been approved from this date by Apple to publish it world wide. Recently, we learnt that GPL app are not compatible with the App Store distribution licence. Thus we decided to remove the iOS app from the App Store several days ago. We are thinking of publishing the same app published under Cydia with a freemium model. Its licence would be GPL v3. What we would like to do under...

Looking for a guide to collect all e-mail from the ISP mail server
...ar now, after many years of usin > a self-assembled stack, and it?s a bliss. Thanks for the hint. I initially discarded Mailcow because of this: "mailcow: dockerized comes with multiple containers" The installation instructions mention that Docker Compose is required. Not long ago I learnt enough to launch one Docker container. I could be convinced to use a dockerised application, but multiple containers and Docker Compose? I have a feeling that Mailcow is not really designed to run on premises in a small business or a volunteer-based club or charity. > I have it coupled with...

Random Numbers
I thank all who replied to my first post regarding random number gereration in R. I have taken all your advice and read much about the gereration of random numbers. I have managed to find a few pieces of code that I have converted for my Java program and am now at the stage of testing these systems. I have found a number of articles on the testing of random numbers and some nice tests that
