rule seems to be matching all but last occurrence
....server/local -r--r--r-- 1 root logcheck 5041 Jun 25 2005 ignore.d.server/local When I run syslog through egrep with this pattern, it picks out the line. The fact that I don't have tons of entries with "clamping maxage" also suggests it is (mostly) working, since none of the stock leafnode entries match that. So, any suggestions how to figure out what is going on? Thanks. Ross Boylan P.S. fetchnews is part of leafnode, which provides its own set of rules. Once I get something working, I plan to let them know about it. They also have duplicated entries in ignore.d.paranoid and s...

Question on best way of configuring this
...n aging Linux machine. This is my main workstation, although I primarily access it as a server (ssh into it, screen). I do occaisionally use the console as an X display, eg when scanning stuff or previewing my nroff documents before sending them to the printer. This machine has all my email, runs leafnode etc etc. What I'd like to do is run them both as virtual instances on a new machine (quad core duo) I've ordered. What I would really like to have is something like the dom0 being on tty0, map the Linux domU consoles to tty1->5, allow the Linux domU X server to run fullscreen on tty6,...

Software RAID and ext3 problem
...first question should be: do ext3 and software raid mix? If the answer to the above should be 'yes' then here are some more details about the error. The problem usually occurs during the expiration of news articles. The expiration is performed by the program texpire whcihc is part of the leafnode package. During the expiration, the following error occurs: Nov 10 07:39:17 nijinsky kernel: EXT3-fs warning (device md(9,8)): ext3_unlink: Deleting nonexistent file (70034), 0 This alone doesn't seem to trip the fs into ro mode... leter in the syslog (virtually last entry before the fs goes...

INN removed from CentOS 6
I use inn to make internal company announcements and discussions available to remote offices. I note inn is removed form RHEL 6. What replaces inn? http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Technical_Notes/apc.html Will inn be available from elsewhere? Will I have to compile it? Should I modify my scripts to create and install html files for a web server? That would
