Hello, we have a single DC after a clssicupgrade and we need to extend the schema. So we created a attrib.ldif with all our attributes and a object.ldif to add the attributes to the "CN=User" Object. We tested the two ldif-files on a DC with only a few users and groups and it works fine. Then we did the classicupgrade (same NC as the test-system) we have more then 30.000 users

Hi, Thank you very much for your support. With your ldif, one of the attributes got added to computer container. Second one is having a trouble. The modification command is reporting it is not able to find the attribute although it is very much in the schema. I am checking this part out. I'm trying to migrate my existing RedHat ES Samba PDC to Ubuntu. The RedHat version of Samba is 3.0.9 and the Ubuntu version is 3.0.14a. Everything was going fine until I tried to import the LDIF of the existing LDAP directory. I am setting up Samba on a standalone CentOS 7 server (using LDAP with openldap for authentifcation) and things and somewhat working. There is a bit of weirdness though. smbclient is only able to access *directories* and not any of the files. Why is that? What am I missing?
