Samba is deleting samba-passwords out of ldap-tree
...]
sambaHomeDrive: H:
sambaKickoffTime: 2147483647
sambaPwdMustChange: 2147483647
sambaLMPassword: 590C5C5A8C08D6692CC208E556B42461
sambaNTPassword: 5B43D9E033AF01F1AC8AAA97751AE14E
Each time I try to login on the xp-machine both, sambaLMPassword and
sambaNTPassword are deleted from the ldaptree.
I increased the loglevel, but can't find anything that gives me a hint.
Any clues how to find the error?
Loglevel etc.?
Regards
Daniel

Base ldap access file.
...tility to generate a working set of ACLs for a basic
samba-ldap installation.
Usage:
./access.conf.pl <basedn> <hostname> > access.conf
access.conf must then be added as a include at the end of slapd.conf.
smbldap-populate.patch:
This is a patch to add an extra ou=Services to the ldaptree and add a
simpelSecurityObject samba to that ou. Use this as the "sambauser". The
only thing samba needs is access to the ldap-tree not be a complete
Unix/Windos user.
The patch is written so that if you run configure.pl in smbldaptools
first, it will use the password you have set for th...

Auth wit multiple ldap configfiles
...lem is, that i logged in with a username from ldap to imap
For this i created in dovecot.conf
auth imap { args = /path/to/dovecot-ldap.conf ...... }
And for delivery i use
command = /path/to/dovecot/deliver -d $local_part@$domain
in the exim.conf
$local_part is diferent to the loginname in the ldaptree
So i create in dovecot.conf
auth deliver { args = /path/to/dovecot-ldap_deliver.conf }
Sometime dovecot check the "auth deliver" section and sometimes the
"auth imap" section i created.
I don?t understand why dovecot doesn?t check allways both sections?!?
P.S.: Sorry my en...

net rpc group add mygroup - NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
...t if I switch to ldapsam I get the failure message
root@balu-bash(1:10)# net rpc group add mygroup
Password:
add group failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
I'm quite sure that the permissions are correctly set, and the password
is also ok. The new group will be found in /etc/group but not in the
ldaptree.
I debugged everything with logfiles and strace but I can't find the
reason. Any consideration would be great.
tnx
