Asterisk LDAP Authentication Problem
...it then please help.
In the res_ldap.conf file i made the following entries. I am using my normal
username and password to connect my asterisk server to the LDAP server of my
organization. Is some administrator login is requried to connect ?
[general]
ldapuser=cn=chandan.mishra,dc=synapse,dc=com
ldaphost=ldap://192.168.0.16
ldappass=chandan123
ldapbasedn=dc=synapse,dc=com
After this the asterisk is not able to connect to the ldap database. And
hence asterisk is not able to start.
Its giving me following errors:
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/res_ldap.conf': Found

AD Integrated authentication
Hello list,
i'm going to try very hard not to rant here, but i've been trying to get Samba working for 3 days, and it's just not happening. Let me start from the beginning. i'm just a lowly Windows admin but i've been doing this for 10 years, so i'm pretty sure i know what i'm doing (present situation excepted, clearly). i've got RedHat AS4 and a primarily

Migrate Samba 3.0x tdb to Samba-3.0.2a ldapsam
Hi guys/girls,
How are you ?
I'm looking at migrating my Samba-3.0.1 server which has the standard tdb
backend to Samba-3.0.2a with an LDAP backend.
I plan to use nss_ldap too.
What would be the best way of doing this ? Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
Kindest regards
David Wilson

...ldap-tools distribution, because migration
itself can be done without them:
a) NT4 --> Samba by using "net rpc vampire" command
b) smbpasswd (or any other backend) --> ldapsam (in place migration) can
be done by using "pdbedit -i oldbackend:/blah-blah-blah -e

I'm chasing that bug now, and soon I'm going to fix it.
getpwnam is claimed to be used for LDAP database, but can anyone find
getpwnam() calls at passdb/pdb_ldap.c ? :-) group seems to be searched
directly in LDAP, and it looks like it i...
