nls - can't get published AICc and parameters
Hi
I'm trying to replicate Smith et al.'s
(http://www.sciencemag.org/content/330/6008/1216.abstract) findings by
fitting their Gompertz and logistic models to their data (given in
their supplement). I'm doing this as I want to then apply the
equations to my own data.
Try as a might, I can't quite replicate them. Any thoughts why are
much appreciated. I've tried contacting the

general linear hypothesis testing for manova model
Hello,
I have a MANOVA model and I want to test the following hypothesis: LBM =
0 where B is the parameter estimates.
Is there any function to do this in R?
Cheers,
Philippe

normality test
Hello,
I am analysing several samples whose sizes are from 9 to 110.
I would like to test their distribution with R,
whether they are normal or not.
I wonder which test for normality from R should I use .
Thank you for help.

PGO question
Hi,
I have a question regarding PGO.
I collected profile data with the instrumentation build
(-fprofile-instr-generate) and provided for PGO optimization in the second
build (with -fprofile-instr-use=xxx.profdata). This works fine.
Then I tried to provide the profile data to opt using the option
-pgo-instr-use, but this causes an error with the message: "Not an IR level

[LLVMdev] MI Scheduler vs SD Scheduler?
...is enabled but the SD scheduler is disabled (or neutralized) by adding the option: -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-llvm-option='-pre-RA-sched:source' to the flags that we have used in the first test. However, this did not work; we got the following error message:

No builtin nor plugin backend for ldapsam found
...ldap backend and smb.
My samba shares work for me, if I comment out "passdb backend =
ldapsam:ldap://127.0.0.1".
They don't work for me, if the passdbline is inside!
BTW, do I need a passdb backend for an openldapserver anyway or is there
enough to edit the slapd.conf "database lbm" and the path to database:
"directory /var/lib/ldap"?
I have two sambas: samba 3.0.7 built from rpm packages and compilied samba
3.0.14a.
The backend error do only appeare in samba 3.0.14a, not in the rpm 3.0.7.
My system is:
openldap 2.2.26, samaba 3.0.14a and 3.0.7., SuSE 9.2.

Hi Reza. Somebody on Linux should answer, but I don't think it's
normal. You may have checked out the source at a moment when it had a

[LLVMdev] fp Question
Hi,
I ran Spec2006 with -O4. All integer benchmarks passed, but only 8 out 17
of floating point benchmarks passed. Is this normal or I made a mistake in
my build?

Note that the ILP scheduler causes a degradation of 22% on one benchmark (lbm) relative to the source scheduler. We have verified that this happens because of poor scheduling that increases the register pressure and thus leads to generating excessive spills in this benchmark’s hottest loop. We should probably report this as a performance bug if ILP stays the default schedule...
