Tools for converting markdown to other formats with templating support
Hi all,
I'm new to the list but I've been using markdown for a while and I wonder if it might make the things I've been doing recently easier if I could find a tool that does what I need.
Essentially, I've been writing a lot of technical proposals of late (mostly using google docs), but I'd like to switch to writing them in Markdown (which handily means I can track revisions

password authentication failing for winbind
I originally posted this issue with the heading "winbind: challenge/response
password authentication failed". I was using the redhat 7.3 samba 2.2.3 rpm
then. I've upgraded to 2.2.5, but all that's changed is the return message.
wbinfo -a VENUS0+tassadar%torque
used to get me:
plaintext password authentication succeeded
challenge/response password authentication failed

...second part of the open command that was wrong. However, I
didn't have the problem on my home computer (WinXP) when I uninstalled
the old version first so I expect that's where I went wrong.
Thanks for the fix,

winbind: challenge/response password authentication failed
I'm using Redhat's 2.2.3a-6 standard install of Samba. I seem to have almost
everything worked out (after much back and forth and fussing), but I can't log
in using my domain users. Just using su or login fails, but using "wbinfo -a
<domain>+<userid>%<passwd>" I get this suggestive error:
plaintext password authentication succeeded
