I understand that the correction would be equivalent to the three parameter logistic model (3PL) in IRT but am unsure how to best fit it from a logistic regression in R. Disabling cirrus-vga
Hi xen developers, Does any of you know how to disable the cirrus-vga emulation for hvm in xen? I have been trying to disable that from the source codes, but even with that, I still see a VGA controller when I boot up my guest domain. In particular, I would like to do this because I am passing through a graphics card to my guest domain using direct pass through. Thanks, - billy

How to regenerate passdb.tdb
Hi, I was having problem with the tdbsam backend in which a particular user got listed twice with pdbedit. (http://www.mail-archive.com/samba at lists.samba.org/msg109110.html) Without much hope in fixing it, I am planning to re-generating passdb.tdb on my PDC by: (1)exporting tdbsam to smbpasswd backend (2)delete passdb.tdb (3)re-import smbpasswd to tdbsam backend With the command `

Am I correcting for the guessing base rate correctly? Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Mike Lau __________________________________ Michael Y. dim vs length for vectors
...the length of the vector (which one *could* obtain by doing length(), but I think this is less logical). I think that R should save length() for lists that have objects of different dimension and type. Does this make sense? Or is there a better explanation? Thanks in advance! Yours, Olivia Lau

Mystified by ActiveRecord.serialize
I''m either missing a step, confused or seeing some odd behavior with ActiveRecord''s serialize feature. When I load an ActiveRecord object from the database, my serialized attribute is a YAML::Object, not the original object. My code is based on an example of this capability in the "Agile Web Dev. w/ Rails" book (p. 196). In create.sql: <code> create table

I could of course rename the demo file, but I'm afraid that students won't remember it (blogit is a name of a function as well). As far as I'm aware Hexagon doesn't use the IndVar instruction, and just passes along the hardware loop instruction through CmpInst, so adapting it for this new API was trivial. [LLVMdev] fields in structure re-arranged for alignment?
Hi Folks, Bear with me, I'm a newbie to LLVM. I've read the language reference and the mailing list archive. One area of the semantics of the Structure type that hasn't been discussed is whether fields in the structure get re-arranged to better suit the target machine's natural alignment, ala what happens in C. For example would this structure on a 32-bit machine: { i16, i32,

SCL MirrorList error
Hi, In the past my mirrorlist for SCL, http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=SCL has worked without any issues. Recently http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=SCL redirects to http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/scl/x86_64/ which leads to 404, instead it should be http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/x86_64/ Is this a change or bug. Thanks,
