Timeout for conferences
...rly. Her meter at
the phone company keeps running...
I'd like to implement something to the effect of checking whether there
is only one participant in the conference, and when this is the case, to
cancel the call after a predefined time (perhaps 5 or 10 mins. to allow
for some waiting for latecomers).
Has someone already written some code or a quick idea for this scenario?

Inconsistency when naming a vector
Sometimes the absence of a name is maked by an NA:
x <- 1:2
names(x)[[1]] <- "a"
names(x)
# [1] "a" NA
Whereas other times its
y <- c(a = 1, 2)
names(y)
# [1] "a" ""
Is this deliberate? The help for names() is a bit murky, but an
example shows the NA behaviour.
