and the granted security of 0xd04e4 seems unrelated and invariant with
any of the permissions exposed to the user (SeMachineAccountPrivilege,
etc.).

ldap passwd sync problem with slave ldap server
Hello everyone!
I'm having problem with the parameter ldap passwd sync = yes. If my ldapsam
points to a master ldap server, it works perfectly. If it points to a slave
ldap server, the samba attributes are update but not the userpassword.
I'm using samba 3.4.3 with Fedora Directory 1.2.
Viewing the log files I saw same strange messages when I trying to change my
password:

Very slow transfers to Samba on Ubuntu
I mounted a samba volume on XP. XP and Ubuntu are connected over 100Mbps
ethernet (router).
I am writing a 4GB file from XP to Ubuntu and the transfer is extremely slow
: only around 1-1.5 MB/s.
This is not a network or disk issue since at the same time this transfer is
gonig on, I can scp the same file from XP to Ubuntu at 3-4 times faster
(around 6MB/s).
What could be wrong? Even for this

Inherit groups
Hey guys, samba seems to have a share level "inherit owner" option to
propagate the ownership of the current folder to any new files/folders
created directly under it. Is there an equivalent command to do this at the
group level? I know you can do it using the SUID/SGID bits but I'm worried
about the security risk that comes with doing it this way.
Thanks for the help,
Nick
