preallocation=full Vs preallocation=metadata
Hi All
I was reading through this:
http://kashyapc.com/2011/12/02/little-more-disk-io-perf-improvement-with-fallocateing-a-qcow2-disk/
I was basically searching for pointers on improving disk I/O.
I wanted to know the purpose of preallocation=full &
preallocation=metadata , What is the difference between them ? and which
one would yield a better disk I/O speed ?

In my testing, the above method gives near-raw performance as it
preallocated all the space ahead of time.
The above test can now be done in a single command -- see option (3)

Re: Fedora 19/20 new install :Unable to create vcpu cgroup
Hi,
Thanks Kashyap for your answer.
I am trying to give more data:
virt-install invokation:
# virt-install --name eff1 --disk /home/kvmimages/eff1.img --cdrom
/home/kvmimages/Fedora-20-x86_64-DVD.iso --memory 4096
WARNING CDROM media does not print to the text console by default, so
you likely will not see text install output. You might want to use
--location.

FW: Levels and GLM
One correction... since you are fitting a logistic model, it is
technically correct to say the "mean value of the linear predictor,"
instead of "mean response".
20 lashes for me.

Hello~!~
Just saying hello and I''m looking forward to seeing all the cool camping stuff

I''m just starting out with Ruby and have a long way to go. I hope that I can
learn a lot here.

changing "hvm_debug" at runtime
Is it possible to change a xen parameter at runtime?
For some of the parameters it would make no sense to do so, but for
some, like "hvm_debug", it would be really useful.
Thanks

push/pop on a stack
Is there a package for stacks with pushing and popping?
I'd really like to do something like
push(par(no.readonly=TRUE))
some stuff....
par(pop())
It seems like it wouldn't be difficult, and that someone may have already
implemented a set of stack functions, and I wouldn't like to duplicate it.
Thanks for your time,
Dave
